"One of very few restaurants that can be called as late as 8.30pm and still be seated for a meal.
Fantastic setting ...nobody would imagine how such a small entrance could lead to a fabulous floor space.
Dinner for 2 we ordered the second banquet and are delighted to find that not only was the food delicious but portion sizes were so filling we simply had the take the main courses home as a take out .

"I enjoyed a delicious Banquet with friends. However the service was mixed: one waiter was very good & cheerful one was the opposite. There was NO LIFT & no ground floor tables. 1 of my friends has serious mobility challenges & I am recovering from an operation; the lack of a lift is unbelievable!"

"Been a regular at the peacock for a number of years,, has the classic Chinese restaurant decor and feel to the place , few big banquet tables and 4 and 2 seaters, apart from the stairs as the restaurant is on 1st floor it is perfect, unfortunately my father struggles to make the stairs and unfortunately can not go anymore, the food is a great selection on offer many starters to choose from, the salt and pepper King prawn are huge and come crispy in the shell but my favourite is the squid and steak roll in black pepper sauce, not cheap but good quality and always leave fully satisfied, look forward to my next visit

My husband is gluten intolerant and the staff couldn’t have done enough to accommodate his dietary needs. He could have had almost everything on the menu, cooked to his allergy preferences. Our meals were absolutely delicious, the place was beautiful, spotless and had a very inviting atmosphere.
