Typically very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, this place can get quite chocca. Serving traditional drinks and cocktails over 3 floors with a lovely beer garden out the back. A good place for a little wine or a pint during the day too, and it’s very kid friendly which allows you to relax a little too.

I’ve never met anyone who said they’ve had a good night of the sesh in either of these venues. The Central is overpriced and has a weird vibe, The Saint is usually dead and Molly Malones is allegedly good for watching sports, which is why I mostly avoid it.

Lovely food, a mix of traditional fare and something more special – all tastes are catered for. With an amazing large beer garden out the back, this is THE lunch spot on a sunny St Andrews day. Great for families, with fab baby changing and kids menus.
