Have heard people say it’s expensive compared to the others, however I gladly pay the extra £1 a pint to have this atmosphere.
The staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. They are actually dog friendly, i.e they like dogs and have treats and water, not just signs saying they are.
Love to sit and work by the fire when I need a break from the office."

"Just had the most incredible experience under the new ownership. The service was incredible, arriving on a busy ‘good Friday’ without a booking and we were still accommodated and welcomed. Dom was the guy that served us the most and he was so attentive to us, our 2 boys and our dog. The food was incredible, the goats cheese starter is insane and despite it seeming busy in the pub our food was prompt and fresh. We love that this is our local and will be visiting lots more.

"Only ate here and will do again. So can't tell you about the hotel, but the food was excellent value and extremely nice. Had the road pork, and the salmon special. Chose the small roast pork and it was huge! Veg were extremely well cooked."
