Reviews Summary
The Bishop on the Bridge is lauded for its picturesque riverside location and traditional British pub fare, with many praising the Sunday roasts and welcoming atmosphere. While some find it a bit pricey, the overall experience is highly recommended for its pleasant ambiance, good food, and friendly service, especially when enjoying a meal or drink on the terrace.
"We thought with its prime location that it would be busy on a Thursday lunchtime. We were pleasantly surprised and found a table with ease. You order at the bar and just sit back in cider seat and watch the river and the world go by whilst you wait for your food. The staff were lovely and the food was well presented. After the hustle and bustle of the city centre this was a lovely quiet, peaceful change to enjoy a delicious lunch."

"Beautiful Fullers pub on the River Itchin. It's very busy but the staff keep the queues sensible by being very professional but also friendly. The pub is nicely setup, toilets are nice and clean and the pub garden overlooking the river is superb and very popular. We had some food, opting for a spread of starters in a Tapas style which was perfect for a lunchtime snack. The food was tatty and well prepared. I am very happy to recommend this to families, friends groups or couples. If you can book ahead for a table outside to avoid disappointment"

"We were lucky enough to arrive in time to meet the Chef at front of house! We were a little early but he was so incredibly warm and welcoming, he didn’t mind because he welcomed us in regardless.
The meals we had were absolutely lovely! I don’t normally enjoy BBQ-styled meals but ohhh the BBQ Hunters Chicken just melted in your mouth. It was MWAH -chefs kiss-
Our cocktails were amazing!
Service was quick and staff were lovely and accommodating. The atmosphere was gentle. The interior was beautifully decorated. So glad we dined here!"
