What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Farina Pizzeria & Wine Bar is celebrated for its exceptional, gourmet thin-crust pizzas and cozy ambiance, making it a top choice for pizza lovers. While many praise the delicious food and attentive service, some reviews mention issues with pizza toppings or crust consistency, and one diner noted a disappointing wait time and small plates.
"Walked into this little gem unaware of the delights awaiting us. Greeted with a friendly smile at the door and chose seats at the bar on an incredibly busy day after Christmas. Raven took phenomenal care of my daughter and I as ordered everything I thought I could possibly eat. The Caprese Salad was a 12 and the soup of the day equalled it in taste and appearance. We finished it off with gorgeous pizza that is on the top 3 of all time for me. What a great place to stumble upon!!"

"A buddy and I came here for dinner. Inside was pretty packed and tough to find a table. So we opted to sit in the back Patio area. Which was nice because at the time because it was a tad chilly but the patio is heated.
I ordered the pepperoni pizza and my buddy ordered a green chili with chicken pizza. We both really enjoyed our pizzas. But to put the cherry on top of dinner was the Butterscotch Budino. That dessert was so delicious. Highly recommend ordering that. Definitely going to be a returning customer."
Matt Hodges
"Honestly might be the best pizza I've tried in abq. Cute inside and outside, we sat on the patio and you can see artichoke cafe across the street. Nice area, service was excellent and they have lots of wine and beer options. Ordered a caprese salad, pizza, and some dessert which all were great. No complaints on food or visit in general, will be returning to try other menu items!"

At the Farina Pizzeria, east of downtown, a scorching oven cranks out thin crust pies to rival the best (in this country, anyway). The founding owners consulted with Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix before turning out their own charred creations such as the Pepe Caldo with broccolini, hot pepper and ricotta. Balsamic meatballs are a beloved starter along with a shareable chopped salad; to close, salted butterscotch budino may induce visible swooning.510 Central Avenue SE, +1 505 243 0130, farinapizzeria.com
10 top pizza spots in Albuquerque according to Yelp
. And as an unapologetic pizza addict, I can happily say that this place has ranking in my list of Top 5 Absolute Favorite Pizza Places in Albuquerque. Order the Chupacabra--pepperoni, meatballs, hot green chile, fire-roasted red peppers, and spicy marinara sauce. Spicy, but not enough to burn your taste buds. Every New Mexican's delight!" - Sara M. The Blue Grasshopper Brew Pub "We love Blue Grasshopper in Rio Rancho for our little date nights. We had the youngin' this time and decided to try out the new location. The pizzas are DELICIOUS as always!! We had the Margherita and the Chicken Pesto! The beer list was front and center and easy to order by number. The owner came over and talked to us to make sure our time there was pleasant. He was a really nice guy. I definitely recommend both of their locations...this one might be a little more kid-friendly because of the space." - J G. Giovannai's Pizzeria "I moved to ABQ four years ago and haven't been compelled to Yelp, but after the consistently amazing pizza I've gotten from Giovanni's, I feel like I need to let people know that this is, hands-down, the best pie in the Duke City. We're talking classic thin-crust New York style pizza with crisp flavorful crust, tangy mozz, and a reserved layer of herb sauce that holds up the flavor of the fresh toppings." - Josh H. Eclectic Urban Pizzeria & Tap House "We were so excited to try it I lost track of the number of items we ordered. Everything was great! So many fun options for pizza - very flavorful and the crust is great. I recommend the North Shore pizza. The mac and cheese was very creamy and cheesy - just the way we like it. We also tired the soup, chips and some other items. All tasted so fresh and flavorful. The name says it - there are many options depending upon what you are looking for. I agree with the other post about the owners being so nice and so passionate about their food and their customers having a great time. Highly recommend." - Mark R. Firenze Pizzeria "Found this unassuming place on Yelp. Excellent pizza with quality ingredients in the right proportions, just right. Love the thin crust and slightly smoky flavor from the pizza oven. I had the basil mint tea, it was light and refreshing. Highly recommend you try this place if you're craving good pizza." Farina Pizzeria "Are you having a pizza craving and stuck in ABQ? Go to Farina! Are you living in ABQ and craving amazing pizza? Go to Farina!! I'm considered by many the pizza guru of the West. This is in my top three pizzas of all time. Lombardis in Manhattan, Cristinos in Clearwater and Farina in ABQ, who would have thought??" - Jeremy S. Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza "I have to say this is probably one of my favorite pizza establishments in Albuquerque. Brick oven pizzas, gourmet sandwiches/salads as well as giant calzones!!! It's pretty hard to go wrong here unless you are lactose intolerant. " - Mateo V. Amore Neapolitan Pizzeria "Oh do I love pizza and Amore has some of the best pizza in town. The location they have at the green jeans area is perfect. You can order a pizza and have a beer at Santa Fe brewery while you wait for your pizza." -Jonathan H. Golden Crown Panaderia "This place is such a gem! My mom and I came here twice during my two-week visit in ABQ. I'm from NM, and I've never been here... Both times, we ordered a large veggie pizza with green chile, on a blue corn crust. We also ordered it without cheese (vegan) and it was absolutely delicious. Crisp and flavorful. The pizza also came with a few extra biscochitos. My mom enjoyed one of their home brewed teas and I indulged in one of the many beers they offer." -Nydia V.
