What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
House of Mandi offers an authentic Yemeni dining experience with incredibly tender meats and flavorful rice dishes, especially the namesake Mandi. Diners rave about the fresh, huge bread and warm hospitality. However, some patrons note occasional service hiccups during busy periods and occasional cleanliness concerns in restrooms, with one reviewer finding prices a bit high.
"The food is delicious. The chicken mandi was amazing. Meat so tender it was falling off the bones and with the fried onions in the rice, it was so flavourful. Also, the fish was so light and refreshing with a squeeze of lemon. But the kicker for me was the large bread. So fluffy and delicious with the hummus and babaganoush which were absolutely wonderful because it tasted so freshly made. Everything was served family style in platters. Service was good. The tea was delightful with a hint of cardamom.
I will definitely return with a group of friends to enjoy another meal.

"House of Mandi in Little Arabia offers a warm and authentic Middle Eastern dining experience with flavorful, well-seasoned food served fresh. The bread is a standout—huge, soft, and fresh out of the oven. Their grilled meats are juicy and tender, paired perfectly with aromatic, fluffy rice. Fresh salads and classic dips like hummus add a refreshing touch to the meal. Portions are generous and satisfying, making it great value for money. The ambiance is cozy with a cultural flair, enhancing the overall dining vibe. What truly sets the place apart is the friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Whether you’re a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or trying it for the first time, this spot is worth a visit."

"We visited House of Mandi recently and overall had a pretty solid experience.
The hummus and bread were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and a perfect way to start the meal. The real standout, though, was the Lamb Mandi — incredibly tender lamb with great flavor. The accompanying sauce/salsa added a perfect kick and brought everything together nicely.
That said, the service was a bit of a miss. It seemed like the staff was overwhelmed with the volume of customers and had trouble keeping up. Also a bit disappointing — they were out of grilled chicken, which we had really been looking forward to.
Despite the hiccups, the food that was available was excellent, and we’d still recommend checking it out — just maybe try to go during off-peak hours."
