Wild Scoops is a highly-regarded local ice cream shop celebrated for its unique, handcrafted flavors made with fresh Alaskan ingredients. Many reviewers highlight the friendly service and cozy atmosphere, though some note that the popularity can lead to significant wait times. Despite the queues, the consensus is that the exceptional taste and creative offerings make it a must-visit.

"This place is so good!!! Not sure how the other guys stay in business!!!

I ordered 3 scoops in a waffle cone. The ice cream is so creamy and good. Several flavors to choose from. I don’t think you’ll go wrong choosing any of them. But samples are given if asked ☺️☺️

Stop in and get a scoop or three!"

Shelia Jones

"This place is adorable and clearly a local favorite. I can see why, it was delicious! They have lots of flavors and options for customizing. Signs and photos on the walls describe how they’ve locally sourced their ingredients. I got there just in time. There was a line slightly out the door, but when I left it was twice as long."

Robin Johnson

"The line was long, I almost left, but fortunately, I decided to stay. It was worth the wait. The ice cream was delicious, and the cones were baked to perfection. The staff was awesome and the prices were ok. The place is in a plaza so the parking is plenty and free. I haven't tried it but noticed they have vegan options."

The Best Dessert Spots In Anchorage, Alaska

This young ice cream shop has something of a cult following in Anchorage thanks to a wildly inventive menu that changes with the season. Their diverse menu is an ode to Alaska, either in ingredients used or in naming (we’re looking at you Sitka Swirl). Past creamy concoctions have called upon everything from locally harvested spruce tips and rhubarb donated from loyalists backyards to coffee and beer from local roasters and brewers as key ingredients.
