Reviews Summary

Chef Guo offers a unique and highly praised imperial Chinese dining experience, with many guests lauding the intricate dishes, impeccable service, and the opulent, royal setting. While considered expensive, diners feel it's a worthwhile splurge for a memorable culinary adventure. Some note that the dishes, while delicious and artfully prepared, may not be as "impressive" as anticipated, and the location itself is unassuming compared to the stunning interior.

"AMAZING experience! The interior is beautiful with the kind of decorations and tableware traditionally served for royalty. Chef Guo is renowned for his Beijing restaurant and has a wealth of experience and training. The dishes are incredibly intricate and show off the Chef's intelligence, skill, experience and precision. Each dish is thoughtfully put together and every element has purpose while being very respectful to each individual ingredient. The setting is intimate with very few tables, and the staff happily accommodated a surprise wedding proposal which made a very special evening for everyone. This is really unlike any other dining experience I've had, and I think everyone needs to enjoy this incredible experience and support Chef Guo."

RCS S

"Two and half hours dinner. It was very cool experience. The Chef Guo uses similar plates and China for China state banquet. All China are impressive. The dishes are delicious but not very impressive."

The best restaurants in Alexandria

Despite its location in a nondescript Alexandria strip mall, this tiny dining room is unabashedly formal in an era when fine dining is becoming increasingly casual. Female servers wear golden headpieces dangling to their ears, floor-length formal gowns, high heels and white gloves.
