Ski bunnies and shredders flock to this laid-back beach house downtown offering one of Aspen's best après-ski experiences. ThisAustin-based transplant serves some of the freshest seafood in the state from its open kitchen. You’ll want to order a little bit of everything, including daily raw bar selections, overstuffed lobster rolls with a stack of shoestring fries, and cioppino teeming with clams, mussels, and shrimp in a buttery herb broth. A wood-burning fireplace and giant tropical aquarium add to the beach-meets-mountains atmosphere.

We’re just so pleased to be a part of the fabric of this town, and we work hard to make Clark’s a place for locals as well as visitors.” That is how chef Josh Hines, of Clark’s Oyster Bar, describes his role in Aspen as executive chef of the Austin-based fish emporium. Since it opened in 2018, Clark’s has become the favorite for those who long for straightforward, simply prepared, high-quality seafood with sizable portions. “We know that people up here work hard and play hard, and we like to give them what they want.” The Louisville, Ky.-born and raised chef loves his Southern roots, and the crispy snapper with grits reflects his origins.

The first foray into Aspen from Austin-based MML Hospitality, Clark’s Oyster Bar has been a hit since its arrival in the renovated space formerly occupied by Little Annie’s. Clark’s is nearly eight thousand feet above sea level, and roughly one thousand miles front the nearest coast, but if you close your eyes after a crudo plate or lobster roll, you can definitely smell the ocean. The outdoor tables here, under yellow umbrellas and surrounded by fresh flowers, are some of the best seats in town.

Clark’s Aspen is the second location of McGuire Moorman’s popular Austin restaurant and it is located inside the historic Little Annie’s on East Hyman Avenue. Clark’s offers the freshest oyster and caviar selections from its signature marble raw bar. Some of my favorites include chargrilled Louisiana oysters with Creole butter, parmesan and the most delicious oven-roasted sourdough bread; jumbo shrimp cocktail; an overflowing lobster roll with shoestring fries and more.

Clark’s Oyster Bar: Martinis, East- and West-Coast oysters, and stellar seafood options—not to mention killer sourdough bread, an irresistible chimichurri sauce, and a happy-hour burger special that can’t be beat—make this Austin transplant a smashing success.

It has it all-- great service, phenomenal food and amazing cocktails. The interior design is a dream, and the fireplace makes it extra cozy on those snowy Aspen evenings. The lobster roll is a summertime favorite, especially when paired with a glass of rosé.

Nothing is quite as refreshing as seafood and cocktails in the summer. For one of the best happy hours in town, visit Clark’s Oyster Bay on E Hyman Ave. Daily from 3 pm- 5 pm, enjoy half-price burgers, martinis, and 50¢ off oysters all summer long.

Another Aspen restaurant that received a ton of love from the Fora Advisors we polled is Clark’s Oyster Bar. “A moment for oysters, shoestring fries and a martini in the mountains,” Fora Advisor Schuyler Bailey described. “There's not much better.

Clark’s Oyster Bar might just be my favorite restaurant in the whole town. Set in the heart of downtown Aspen in a historic wooden single-story building, this cozy family-style restaurant does well to combine a casual yet elegant atmosphere.

There’s something about Aspen, champagne and oysters that just go together. I LOVED this chic oyster bar in downtown Aspen. The sourdough bread is literally the best I’ve had outside of San Francisco, and the raw bar is to die for.

Jimmy’s is being taken over McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality Group, the Austin, Texas-based company that opened Clark’s Oyster Bar where Little Annie’s once was. It has yet to file a liquor-license application with the city.

Our go-to place for oysters and a chilled glass of wine, Clark’s Oyster Bar has a great atmosphere with beautiful afternoon light from the skylight and a very fun bar where you never know who you’re going to meet.

Clark’s Oyster Bar, which also has locations in Austin and Montecito, offers a dynamic array of seafood, serving fare like lobster rolls, crab cakes, crispy red snapper and—of course—freshly shucked oysters.

We also did a few stops at Clark’s Aspen for Après oysters and cocktails. For sushi cravings I always end up at the Kenichi sushi bar. Aspen is a bustling town, reservations are always recommended.
