What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Chastain offers a delightful dining experience with attentive service and a focus on quality, seasonal ingredients. Diners praise the inviting atmosphere, whether indoors or on the patio, and rave about the delicious pastries from the bakery. While some find the prices high, most agree the overall experience is worth it for the well-prepared dishes and pleasant ambiance.
"This was our second time there, and the food was delicious. Our server was very nice and patient when my husband asked about the menu. The first time we sat indoors, it felt very formal. If you want a date, you can go indoors; it has a great atmosphere. This time we sat on the covered balcony, which felt more relaxed and suitable for family gatherings. We’re looking for next time !"

"Came here for brunch with a couple of girlfriends on a Saturday. I made a reservation on resy and had to pay $15/person to book our table. I chose the covered patio area which is a nice option when the weather is good and we were lucky the weather ended up being good that day.
I started with a matcha lemonade for my drink and it surprisingly worked well together. I enjoyed it. For food, I got a pea soup and the burger for my entree. Definitely enough food to make me full. We finished the meal sharing a cake they had that day which was good and the cream on top quite delightful.
The bakery is always busy and because we were dining there we were able to order pastries from our server and not have to wait in line. I got two chocolate chip cookies and a chive and cheese biscuit to go. They were all very good. Make sure to order your pastries early as they might sell out of stuff.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. She also had the support staff of food runner and busser. Our waters were always filled and our food came in a timely manner. They didn’t seem to need to turn the table that day so we were able to take our time and did not feel rushed and enjoyed a leisurely lunch.
Slightly pricier restaurant but the ingredients are quality and the sit down experience is very pleasant."

"Went for brunch. It was a nice experience. Professional and friendly service. Food was good but not memorable. I probably wouldn’t return given the traffic nightmare to get there.
They offer complimentary valet parking as the only parking option.
They have a kids menu with $12-15 entrees.
Make reservations or expect to wait for a table in the dining room. Outdoor seating appears to be first come first serve. They allow dogs outside so there are tons of dogs on the patio."

As one of two new Green Star restaurants in Atlanta, we wanted to hear from the team directly about their sustainable practices: "Our menu is dictated by what is available from our local farm partners, as well as our onsite regenerative farmed (beyond organic) garden. This means the menu often changes throughout the week depending on availability. We have recently joined Georgia Organics to help quantify our local and organic food purchases (currently qualify for gold/top tier). We compost on site, as well as utilize a compost company to reduce waste going into the landfill. We also recycle glass, use compostable carryout containers, and are working on improving recycling further.
