Reviews Summary
Azumi offers a stylish Japanese dining experience with fresh sushi and high-quality ingredients, often praised for its creative dishes and personalized service touches like anniversary cards. However, some diners have noted inconsistencies in service, with occasional inattentiveness and perceived issues with portion sizes or bathroom cleanliness. The ambiance is generally appreciated, though the exterior entrance area can be chaotic during peak times.
"It still feels surreal to say that—ten million views. I’m so incredibly grateful for the continued love, support, and encouragement from each of you. What started as a small hobby has turned into something I genuinely cherish. Thank you for coming on this journey with me.
Now let’s talk about Azumi—an absolutely phenomenal sushi restaurant located in Baltimore’s prestigious financial district, with sweeping views of the water that will take your breath away.
This past Wednesday, I was invited to lunch, expecting a casual bite—but what I experienced was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I was picked up in a stunning white Corvette (yes, that kind of afternoon!), I knew this wouldn’t be an ordinary day. We parked conveniently in the attached garage, and from there, I was completely swept away.
Azumi is the definition of modern elegance. Sleek interior, calming atmosphere, and panoramic waterfront views that create the perfect setting for any occasion. Although we were originally seated at a lovely table, my companion requested we move to the sushi bar so we could watch the chefs in action—and I’m so glad he did. It added a beautiful, personal touch to the experience.
Our server, Carl, deserves special recognition. His attentiveness, professionalism, and warmth elevated the entire meal. Outstanding customer service makes all the difference, and Carl exceeded expectations in every way.
Now, for my signature drink—sparkling water with a generous serving of lime and 5 to 10 cherries (don’t judge—I love my cherries!). It was crisp, refreshing, and a perfect prelude to an incredible meal. Every bite of sushi was fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented.
While I typically take dozens of photos and videos during my visits, this time I found myself simply soaking it all in. The view, the ambiance, the food, and the company were too good not to be present for.
Azumi is a standout. Whether you’re entertaining clients, planning a romantic date, or simply treating yourself—you’ll be impressed from start to finish. I highly recommend requesting Carl if he’s available. I’ll definitely be returning.
Until next time, with gratitude 💜"

"Service could have been better, no names but my waiter was odd. Very attentive to every table but mine. Definitely made me have a mini self reflection moment, I’m half joking but in all seriousness - why was he like that?
Anyway, the sushi roll I ordered and side were tasty enough. Prices and portion size of food make me think that this place is great for their drinks. I did not get anything from the bar so maybe my review isn’t fair to this establishment."

"My husband and I came in last night for our wedding anniversary. The waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, I explained why we were dining out. Not only is it rare that wait staff asks these types of questions, she brought back an anniversary card for us! I thought this was so sweet and cute. The vanilla ice cream was a complimentary treat for the end of our meal. The food was outstanding and included some of the freshest fish selections I’ve had in a Baltimore restaurant serving seafood. The waitress was also knowledgeable about items on the menu and asked us our opinions about how things tasted. She also gave us some historical insight into Japanese cuisine which I loved!"
