Reviews Summary
Ichiban (Bangor) is lauded for its exceptional sushi quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions, often praised as the best in the area. Diners also highlight the warm and inclusive hospitality, particularly for deaf customers. However, some patrons have noted inconsistencies in food quality and express dissatisfaction with the dining-in service, citing long waits and timid staff, though take-out is often seen as a more reliable option.
"Very nice! Our first time at an authentic Japanese restaurant and we loved it. We ordered a number of dishes to sample a wide variety of tastes knowing we could take them home. It was evident that most, if not all, were hand made on the premises. The service was superb and the food came out surprisingly fast.
If you like Chinese food you will enjoy Japanese dishes. We will be return diners to be sure."

"If I could give more stars I would! Hands down the best sushi, and crab Rangoon in the greater Bangor area. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant. Thank you so very much to the staff working here! I CANNOT praise this place enough. And it was only my first time eating here. I’m excited to go back and try more!"

"Their Halloween Rolls are amazing and I haven't shut up about them to my fianceé until we finally got to eat them together. Their prices are super reasonable, the service courteous, and their menu extensive. I am not even a huge sushi fan and there was plenty to make this restaurant worth returning to for me. Fantastic food, speedy service, good vibes overall. Also tried their scallion pancakes, wings, and crab rangoons. 0 complaints, great all around."
