"Amazingly authentic! The food was delicious and plentiful. The drinks (especially Margaritas) were huge and not watered down. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. In this area there are several Mexican restaurants but I have to stress how authentic Las Palapas is and how they take pride in their business. Will definitely return!"

While in Bangor, we decided to have Mexican food and chose Las Palapas as it wasn't too far from our hotel. While it was busy, we were able to get a seat without a wait.
Server was very friendly, helpful and fast. Food came out very quickly.
I had an enchilada with shrimp and crab, with beans and rice on side, it was very tasty and large portion.

"I am by no means a Mexican Food enthusiast but dined here because I could literally walk across the parking lot from the hotel I was staying at in Bangor. There aren’t enough stars to give this place. I sat at the bar & was immediately served a generous serving of tortilla chips & salsa, both were delicious! I almost missed the Lunch Specials on the menu, had glanced over them without realizing it until almost 3pm (the cut off time to order unless you want to pay extra). I ordered the Lunch Fajita with Steak & the Classic House Lime Margarita. Everything was sizzling hot or nicely chilled as it should be and the Margarita was spot on & had just enough kick to it to make it enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant, friendly & welcoming. Glass glasses for water, no plastic. And the bars stools were SO comfy! I just can’t say enough. Great food, great service, excellent prices & a very relaxing beautiful atmosphere. I loved that the music in the background was loud enough to add to the atmosphere but subtle enough to be relaxing. I took home enough food for another generous meal. The photo doesn’t do it justice. So much food I couldn’t fit it all into the photo. Treat yourself & eat here!!"
