Reviews Summary

Sammy's Grill Highland is lauded for its delicious and generous portions of Southern seafood classics, especially its gumbo and boiled crawfish. Diners appreciate the friendly service and the casual, rustic atmosphere that feels like home. However, some reviews mention inconsistencies in dish preparation and slow service during busy periods.

"Fantastic food with huge portions. The catfish, shrimp salad, and gumbo were all super tasty and lots of it. Service was very good. The atmosphere isn't high-end, but you're not going here for the ambiance. But if you're looking for super food and equally good service, you'll likely be very happy. We'd definitely go back!"

"We live in Fort Worth, Texas. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who used to live in the area. It didn't disappoint. We loved the food so much we ate here two different times within a week. The service was great. Our servers kept the drinks filled and checked on us several times.
The food is delicious and plenty of food for the price. Prices range from $8.99‐25.
When back in town, we will definitely be back!"

Jeffro Tucker

"Stopped into Sammy's Grill for lunch and had the Thin fried catfish and white beans ( Substituted the white bean with a side of red beans and rice). It was enough for two people. Delicious food and great service. Another go to spot in Baton Rouge."
