"Great place to eat! We stayed in Brookings and wanted local, this place is it! The Fresh Haddock was excellent! The fried scallops were large and great flavor! The Fried Calamari might have been the best we have ever had, large meaty pieces that you never get in regular restaurants. Fries and coleslaw were great. Sate outside and really enjoyed it!"

"This place definitely isn't worth the wait. They have a sign on the door that says expect long wait times when busy, but they weren't even that busy. They said it would be about 30 minutes, which I could have accepted.. it took OVER AN HOUR!! Not once did they check on us while we waited, or make any attempt to let us know about where we were in line. We finally asked one of the waitresses and all she could tell us was "it's cooking, it's being made." Cut to another 15 minutes later and we finally got our food. It wasn't even hot, it was warm at best. The fish was oily like it just came out of the fryer, but barely warm and fell apart. The BLT had 1.5 strips of bacon across the entire sandwich. The only halfway decent thing was the biscuits and clam chowder. I don't visit the coast all too often, but the next time I do I'll definitely avoid this place. I'd rather drive 30 minutes south to Crescent City and eat at Fisherman's."

"Be prepared to wait and wait and wait some more to get your food. I was told it was going to be 30 minutes to get my food. It was over an hour. Our food was overall good. Clam chowder, I've had better. The fried clams were excellent, I must say. The fish was very bland. Would I come here again, probably not because of how long you would have to wait to get the food.
