What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mi Cielo Mexican Restaurant is lauded for its authentic Oaxacan flavors, fresh ingredients, and exceptionally warm, family-driven hospitality. Many rave about signature dishes and creative breakfast options, though some reviews mention slow service and occasional issues with meat dryness or preparation. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for a flavorful and welcoming dining experience.
"I thought about giving them a 1 star so nobody else finds out about this place! The food is fresh and delicious. I've started coming here twice a week. I've been to most Mexican restaurants in Redmond and Bend and MI Cielo has been my favorite. All the ingredients are fresh and made/prepared daily. They do breakfast, which is very good, and some other lunch items like cheeseburgers, which I haven't tried yet. A fantastic restaurant go to!"

"My wife and I recently had our wedding in Redmond and decided to have Mi Cielo make our wedding meal for us that was picked up before the ceremony. The food was absolutely amazing today the least, but that is not what this review is about… this family went above and beyond for our day. They completely exceeded customer expectations. They didn’t know us from anything and took it upon themselves to come in to their restaurant on a Sunday, a day that they’re closed, at 4:30 AM to make our wedding meal for us. On top of that they threw in some original recipe food that was different from what we ordered, which we loved, because they wanted us to experience the original recipe. It’s my understanding they are closing their restaurant next month, but this review wasn’t meant to be left for their restaurant, it’s meant to be left for this family and serves as a token of appreciation that there are still good people in this world that care and are willing to go the extra mile for you. We wish them nothing but the best on their new endeavors, and thanks again for everything you did for us."

"I stopped by for lunch on a
Wednesday afternoon after
hiking at Smith Rock.
The dining room was empty
as I reviewed the menu and
ordered Tamales with rice and beans.
The menu offers American and Mexican options for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner.
You will find burgers, sandwiches, burritos, Carne Asada, and much more on
the menu.
I munched on chips with salsa
and received my order in about
twenty minutes with no
problems.
The tamales were good, but
the Guajillo sauce was a
little disappointing.
The rice was moist, and the
refried beans were creamy
with good taste.
I waited for the check, but
had to walk to the counter
to pay.
Located on Veterans Way in
Redmond around the corner
from Fred Meyer.
A nice place to stop for a bite
to eat with solid food, friendly
service, and a number of menu
options for breakfast, lunch,
and dinner."
