Half Shell Oyster House

"Located inside the hard rock casino and hotel, this is a unbelievable place to eat. The atmosphere is great inside, you have TVs by the bar if you wanna catch a game, and also very themed environment!

We sat in the bar area, and the two bartenders were really nice, and explained everything on the menu, and gave us suggestions on what was good since it was our first time there! They took their time!

We had the oyster, small sampler, which was two oysters from all four of their oyster offerings, they were all amazing and tasty!!! There is a sampler on the menu where you get four of each, but if you ask the server or bartender, they can give you the two oyster small sampler for $21.75!

We also had the seafood pot pie, which came out fresh, hot, and full of seafood! We also enjoyed the snow crab salad, which was full of snow crab, they didn’t skimp! And we also tried the Louis Armstrong role, which, or if your sushi fan was an A+ !

We wanted to recognize both bartenders that helped us, and especially Tylin goes by “Ty” , who was a really nice and professional bartender all night long!"

"Giovanni was an excellent waiter. The menu is extensive and very reasonable. But things went downhill fast. We ordered a Manhattan and then an old fashioned (drinks that I consider pretty basic to make) but they were not good. We even had to send 1 back. We also ordered the sampler oyster plate but the person who brought them out to us just plopped it on our table. We had to find Giovanni to ask him which oyster was which flavor. The chowder we ordered came out lukewarm- I’m not sure why their soup isn’t piping hot. For dinner, I ordered the Redfish Orleans, which flavorwise was good but wow, it was salty. The oil was spicy too. Hubby got the voodoo shrimp poboy which was fried shrimp coated in barbecue/stirfry sauce. He wasn’t a fan because it was too sweet. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend coming here for the food (maybe the raw oysters are really good?) but the service was impeccable."

"I hate to give 1 star, but I cannot get over the waiters remarks he made about marriage not one but twice after the first time I basically shook my head and said zip it. He stopped what he was going to say then proceeded to say something else about never trusting other men. I mean he isnt wrong, but not something needing to be said.

On to the food. The food was pretty good overall. I had the seafood pasta and crab meat on top was fair, but light with a single shrimp and light sprinkles on other stuff that came on it. I basically ate the tiny pieces of meat and took the pasta home. More seafood needed and I don't care if it cost $10 more since I still ordered two meals for myself since I was almost expecting this as a possibility. Glad I ordered two meals which the other was the uptowner, a steak sandwich and it was great. Only thing I could mention was bread a little over toasted but was starving so wasn't worried at that point. Side salad was best part of entire meal. I really hope this gets to the right person. I would usually make a tiktok about my food review, but will not be since I would rather not discuss marriage and whatnot in the mix since that was the main thing about the review today"
