What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Quave Brothers is a highly praised spot for its authentic po-boys, with many singling out the pot roast and shrimp variations. Diners rave about the friendly, Southern hospitality that makes them feel welcome. While the food is generally loved, some customers have noted inconsistencies in seasoning or preparation, and long wait times can occur during busy periods.
"First time stopping in at my brother’s request. Glad I took his advice!
Absolutely loved their muffallata! He had the shrimp poboy and I had a taste of it and it was perfectly delicious 😋.
Service with a smile and clean facilities."

"Delicious po boys. All are great, but the shrimp is my favorite. Catfish is good, too. Also, treat yourself to a fried softshell crab! Fries are so so. Potato salad is not bad. Good selection of local soft drinks. Friendly, respectful employees."
Wendy Knafla
"Ordered the pot roast plate.... got a scoop of mushy meat with some toast. Potato salad on the side. No utensils, not even a napkin. This was takeout....
It was described as slow roasted pot roast with baby carrots, potatoes, and onions. Definitely not what I got. Really disappointed."

Best po-boys on the Gulf Coast
I am hesitant to tell you my favorite places, because there are so many really good places to get a po-boy, but I’ll give you a few of the ones I enjoy the most, and apologies to anyone I leave out. Quave Brothers in D’Iberville makes my favorite pot roast beef po-boy. It is messy and delicious, and when I drop by there for takeout, my po-boy seldom makes it home intact.
Best 10 restaurants for dining on MS Gulf Coast in 2021
The po-boys at Quave Brothers has been a favorite of mine for years. No one comes close to their famous pot roast po-boy, and I’ll stand in line for a long time for any of their sandwiches.
