What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise The Original Pancake House for its generous portions, delicious and unique pancake options, and friendly atmosphere. While many have a great experience, some reviews mention issues with inconsistent service and a negative encounter with management.
"First timers experiencing The Pancake House and it was definitely not the last. We found the perfect breakfast spot, just hate we found it on our last day in the city, but we will definitely be back when we come up again. Kris was the best waiter and very attentive. Food portions were huge and you absolutely get your moneys worth."

"It's not even fair and it's not even close. Definitely worth getting off the highway or stopping by during your morning commute. We were coming from the University of Alabama and looked for the best Southern pancakes and we're not disappointed at all. Tried to relive this experience by telling the story many times since our visit, but it just wasn't the same as seeing it in person.
My son and I love omelettes but didn't expect what we got. This incredibly unique and fulfilling way to create this egg-cellant masterpiece is unrivaled. When it came out the look on the faces of the other customers set it all. There must have been some other first timers like us who looked in shock and awe of the incredible creation that we had just received. And then the other patrons looked very used to that level of incredible breakfast tradition. Our side of pancakes was equivalent of what would be a full plate at Northern restaurants around us and needless to say are one breakfast turned into 3 days of food. Don't even hesitate. Stop by and see what we're talking about because the menu is huge and you're going to have to come back many times to experience all of it. I know we will be."

"I came here for the first time yesterday, and I’ll definitely be back!
My party of 3 was seated immediately. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and quickly brought us waters. My mom asked her what her favorite dish was, and she recommended the pecan pancakes. The portions were huge, great for the price. Everything was hot and delicious. The bathroom was clean and beautifully decorated.
I can’t wait to come back with my family!"
