Reviews Summary

Boise Fry Company is celebrated for its innovative approach to fries, offering a vast array of potato types, cuts, and custom seasonings. While the burgers, including bison and vegan options, are well-received, the true stars are the fries, which diners rave about. Some customers have experienced order inaccuracies or found tables less than pristine, but the overall consensus points to a unique and delicious dining experience centered around potatoes.

"Traveling through and this place was a perfect quick stop for lunch. The food and the staff were great. I'm going to be thinking about the fries and the veggie burger for a long time! My boyfriend had the bison burger and loved it too."

Sarah Blanchette

"Liked the place and atmosphere that’s was it. I went to order asked for the BLT, and Truffle Parmesan fry’s. The lady asked if I wanted fountain drink and I said sure. She then asked what kind of fry’s I wanted and I said what ever goes best with the Truffle Parmesan. I went to go fill my cup from the fountain and it had a soda out of order H2O only. So paid for a soda that was not even available……. Then when I got my food I only had regular russet fry’s, not the Truffle Parmesan ones I asked for. And the BLT had one thin piece of lettuce…. Very disappointing sold item that was not available and my order messed up."

JoAnna D

"My sister and I went there on a recent trip to Boise. First of all we were delighted to choose what type of potatoes they would use for our fries. We also each got the veggie burger. We could choose a flavored salt and try out a variety of dipping sauces. The young men who work there were all super friendly and the food was outstanding."

The 11 Best Restaurants in Boise for Incredible Meals

What is it:Everyone knows any Idaho restaurant list wouldn’t be complete if it were totally potato-free. Boise Fry Company’s flagship location downtown is now just one of multiple franchise locations in the Treasure Valley and Portland. A fast-casual spot that claims to serve “burgers on the side,” Boise Fry definitely treats the state vegetable as the star of the show with a rotating cast of potato types and cuts to choose from.

Modern Guide to Boise: The hip Northwest destination is giving Portland a run for its money

If you're still craving bacon once you get back to your hotel, order a delivery from the downtown "bacon bike." // You know a restaurant is serious about its fries when the burgers are an afterthought, and Boise Fry Company(204 N. Capitol Blvd.) makes its priorities clear with the slogan "burgers on the side." Choose from seven different fry options (plus Brussels sprouts) made with Idaho potatoes in five different "cuts" (think shoestring or curly) to dunk in the house-made seasonings and dipping sauces, and pair it with a grass-fed bison burger and glass of local wine. // Expect to wait for brunch at longtime neighborhood standby Goldy's (108 S. Capitol Blvd.), and for good reason: You'll find no-fuss but perfectly executed staples such as chicken-fried steak, eggs Benedict, and pancakes in a historic building adjacent to City Hall. // Make sure to order the asparagus fries to start your meal and the butter cake to end it at Fork (199 N. 8th St.), where other seasonal dishes like tomato-basil fondue, daily street tacos, and local ale–braised short ribs are bolstered by ingredients sourced from Boise and Northwest farmers and producers as part of owners Cameron and Amanda Lumsden's "loyal to local" pledge.
