What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Fox & The Knife is lauded for its delicious, rustic Italian fare, especially its handmade pastas and appetizers like the Taleggio-Stuffed Focaccia. The lively atmosphere and attentive staff, particularly those at the chef's counter, contribute to a memorable dining experience. While generally praised, some diners note that portions can be on the smaller side, and a very rare instance of food poisoning was reported.
"Had reservations, showed up early and they offered to seat us ahead of time.
Our waitress was amazing. Very knowledgeable in all the dishes, how they’re prepared and what type of ingredients go in them, which is very important to me due to having food allergies. Mind you, I didn’t bring it up to her, she brought it up to me unprompted. She even brought me a customized menu considering what I’m allergic to.
Food was delicious. My group tried everything she recommended and we were not disappointed. Great experience."

"My daughter and I chose Fox & Knife for dinner tonight. We shared a few items and were so delighted with our choices. Our server Alyssa B was also wonderful and gave great advice.
We started with the asparagi primavera-perfected cooked asparagus with a miso aioli, lemon and capers. Unique and delicate.
Next we had the taleggio stuffed focaccia-light, savory and creamy. I would have eaten the whole thing but knew our main course was on its way. The tagliatelle bolognese was lovely -the herbaceous of the thyme with the savory wild boar had my taste buds dancing and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Lastly we had the orange dreamscicle -orange shaved ice over deeply vanilla ice cream. Cleansed the palate and ended the meal perfectly.
A solid choice for dinner in Southie. So much more to come back and try!!"
