"Food was fabulous!! Frech onion soup draped with gruyere cheese (which comes with any entree!) & the chicken pot pie was awesome- served outside the pot in a bowl with 2 perfectly puffy & flaky pastry puffs-- so cool! Service was great & food came out timely. Highly recommend!"

"We had a reservation but our table wasn't ready, so we waited. Once sat down the waitress came by introduced herself (I don't recall her name) took our drink orders while we looked at the menu. We placed our food order when she came back. We received our soup and salad pretty quickly but we waited over an hour for our entrees. Once they finally came out, they brought me the wrong dish. Had to wait again for the correct dish (at least it wasn't another hour + wait). Not Once did a manager come over to explain what was taking so long or to even check on us. Our waitress did say after 45 mins to 1 hour of waiting that she was watching for our food to come up. The only thing I was happy with was the company I had at the table with me. Thank goodness for good friends."

"Went on a Wednesday evening, the dining room was almost completely empty except for one table at that point and the waitress decided to sit us right next to that table, it was very uncomfortable, there's no music or anything so the dining room is completely silent and all we could hear was the conversation of the table next to us, we didn't feel comfortable at all even talking to each other at a normal volume, so we were whispering, finally I asked her if we could eat in the bar instead. It was much more comfortable in there, with blues music providing some background sound. The place got busy pretty quick and there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. We waited almost 1 hour for our food. The food was great, home cooked comfort food, flavorful,.. the braised short ribs fell apart, super tender, flavorful gravy, the mashed potatoes were very creamy. The pot pie was also great with a nice thick creamy sauce , although there could have been more carrots. When we were finished eating and ready to leave I ordered a piece of carrot cake to go, for the waitress to bring back with the bill.... over 15 minutes passed before she finally came back, and that was only after we had stood up and made it obvious that we were in a rush to go and even approached the bartender to try to cash out. So plan on being there for a long time, takes forever to get your food and takes forever to get your bill. Carrot cake was not good. If you're expecting a moist cake filled with raisins and walnuts and carrot with a thick rich cream cheese frosting, you will be sorely disappointed! It was just...meh. and the frosting had a general sweetness but no flavor."
