"What a great restaurant! Funky and friendly and comfortable, with a wide range of really great food and tons of vegan options. We had a fabulous lunch here. We chose from the buffet, which had several absolutely delicious vegan offerings as well as plenty for omnivores. The walls are covered with such interesting art. And the people here are so nice. Highly recommended"

"About 16 per sandwich but they were big sized. Probably could’ve shared! Nice inside of the restaurant and big open window for nice days"

"Nice ambianced restaurant located right on a busy street with lots of traffic. Some parking spaces along the street. Staff members very welcoming and friendly. Music was all 60’s music (which I felt right at home). Food was fresh, tasted awesome and price was fair. Highly recommended!"

Soup's on! Five Burlington spots ready to warm your bones this fall
Hard to resist the soup at a place with soup in its name, right?. This College Street staple does more than soup — its challah bread, for instance, is a revelation — and the hot-bar buffet is always a delight. But Thursday’s soup offerings of split pea, chicken-and-vegetable soup and white bean and sausage are just what mid-October in Vermont calls out for.

The atmosphere in Stone Soup is redolent of the feeling those villagers must have had when they ate their own stone soup. All the baking is done on the premises. Their menu is slightly different every day, always a pleasure to discover, and usually vegetarian and vegan.

Stone Soup made these gluten-free chocolate cupcakes one time that were amazing. Pingala makes delicious gluten-free apple-crumb bars. The cacao macaroons at Eco Bean are so good I learned how to make them at home so I could afford to eat them more often.
