A tucked away, unique little spot right next to Bert’s Market, features an ever changing seasonal menu, and serves locally sourced foods fresh from a farm, bakery, or ocean nearby. After enjoying dinner on their outdoor patio, walk just a block to the beach where you can stroll along the water and make your way down to Blu, Folly’s oceanfront bar.

The new kid on the block has come with a lot of flavor to really cement itself as a staple on the island for good eating and drinking. Brunch here is every day from 10am-3pm. More than enough time to get your satisfactory fill.Their Fried Chicken Sandwich is by far the best on the island (according to front desk staff member Danny) and its accompanied with some beautifully seasoned and crispy waffle fries, this item is perfect for any time of the day.

You don’t have to wait for the weekend to eat brunch at Lowlife Bar, where America’s favorite breakfast/lunch mash-up is served every day from 10 am-3 pm. Start your meal off with some crispy Old Bay seasoned waffle fries with spicy ketchup, caramelized onion and chive crème fraiche. Try their version of chicken & waffles, featuring Cholula-honey fried chicken with shredded slaw and buttermilk-Scallion dressing.

Lowlife Bar is a relatively new addition to Folly Beach and the beach’s best cocktail bar. Recently they’ve started having live music shows, sporadically throughout the month and live Reggae music (+ jerk chicken specials) every Saturday. Try one of their many cocktails, like the well loved Toni Basil or their blood marys, along with their crab cake sandwiches for a full meal Folly Beach style.

LowLife BarAnother slightly off-the-beaten-path hangout is LowLife, where you can choose to sit wrapped around the bar inside or outside or take a table in the main dining room. You order from the bar here, but the selection of drinks for the island are top-notch. The Farmer Tan, made with tequila, chipotle, strawberry, pineapple and lime, is a personal favorite.

Revelry Brewing - Folly Beach: With an almost speakeasy-style entrance given you would miss it if you weren’t looking for it. This little beach bar & brewery features trendy, pristine open seating with low tables & long couches with pillows in its open-air courtyard in addition to bar seating. A perfect breezy, relaxed setting for enjoying their craft beers.

Lowlife Bar is a fun destination with a friendly vibe that’s easily a favorite of visitors and locals. Its fantastic drinks, including custom-designed cocktails, coupled with fresh menu items sourced locally, make this an excellent choice. The best option is to visit on the weekends, set up in the outdoor seating area, and enjoy the live music.

Just off the main drag is Lowlife Bar, serving tropical cocktails and casual vibes. The Farmer Tan is my personal favorite drink from there because I’m a sucker for spicy tequila drinks. It combines tequila, chipotle, strawberry, pineapple, and lime juice for a beautiful pink hue and spicy sweet flavor.

Hudson Ave., Lowlife Bar is the one place you can fill up on food & drink behind the only place you can fill up your tank (Circle K) on Folly. Lowlife is the quintessential 'laid back beach bar' where they focus more on their rotating signature retro-themed cocktails than any other adult beverage.

Come chill and enjoy the beautiful weather at their open air bar and laid back style. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 10 am to 11 pm and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to midnight. Hours may vary upon the season and Holidays.

Having just opened in July of 2018, Lowlife Bar is one of the newest additions to Folly. We immediately fell in love and revisited multiple times during our time there!. The drink selection is fantastic!

Lowlife offers brunch every day of the week with menu items, including chipotle shrimp tacos and Old Bay-seasoned waffle fries, in a hip, bright space that's blocks from the beach.

Lowlife Bar serves brunch options daily and great local shrimp rolls at lunch. Chico Feo has a small but tasty menu; try the goat curry and cucumber-lemonade sake.
