Reviews Summary

Fin & Fino is lauded for its vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and high-quality, fresh seafood. Diners often highlight 'The Treatment' as a memorable culinary experience and praise the creative cocktail program. However, some find the seasoning in certain dishes to be overpowering, and vegetarian/vegan options can be limited, with some dishes noted as being small in portion size.

"Edited to add (apologies) I did not realize that the entire menu is small plates - which explains the smaller servings!

Went to Fin and Fino for the first time. Have to give a shout out to the staff - the one constant at all of Jon Dresslers locations are the people. They are a lot of fun, they love their food, they take pride in what they do and it shows!

The people around us got the treatment, and I have to say it all looked amazing! There were no complaints whatsoever from anyone at the table.

As one would imagine - there was a great deal of fresh raw seafood as well as cooked. No surprise, it was fresh and excellent!

I got the roasted beets and the heart of ribeye. Both were wonderful - oh my goodness the beef was so tender and flavorful cooked perfectly.

The beets, a personal taste? I wasn’t a fan of what might have been peppercorns on the beets? It just was too strong for me when I crunched down on two. I am a beet lover so just scraped them off - they were excellent.

The calamari was really good, as was of course the shrimp cocktail and crab dip. Always amazing!

The mussels in the pasta dish were minuscule and not alot of pasta - it was about the size of an appetizer to be honest. Now perhaps that is what it was meant to be but not enough to feed one person as a main dish. Still, very flavorful.

I have to admit that Dresslers and Chapter 6 are still my favorites - hands-down, but you obviously cannot beat the freshness of the raw seafood and - The Treatment - was such a fun experience! All the seafood dishes were great!

Some of the other appetizers looked wonderful - didn’t get a chance to try the mushroom sourdough toast, but it looked amazing, for me worth going back again.

Clean inside, very busy and they have party rooms for anybody that would need one.

Everyone was too full to have dessert, but as you know, or in case you didn’t, they are all handmade from Joans Bakery to all the Dresslers eateries!"

"We went close to closing time. It was last call for food and we sat at the bar. Bartender was nice and I loved the fun names they did for the cocktails. They were very tasty and it looks like they make their syrups and bitters in house. All of the food was good. I enjoyed the crab dip and the lamb & mushroom pasta dush. Important to note, if you are vegetarian or vegan, the menu appeared to be limited with options. I didn't see much beyond a salad. Also, the menu assumes you are sharing so plate sizes can be small."

Paquita P

"Everything about our visit was fantastic — the food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We especially appreciated the creativity and presentation of each dish.

The only small thing that left us a bit puzzled: my friend and I ordered different dishes, but for some reason, all of our food was brought out in the same shared plate at every course. It made it hard to enjoy our individual selections separately, even though our orders were placed independently.

Still, a wonderful experience overall and I would absolutely come back!"

10 Best Restaurants in Charlotte for a Top-Notch Meal

There’s a decidedly low-country Carolina vibe at Fin & Fino, not just because of the fresh seafood on offer but also for the beachy and airy feel of the place. Sustainably caught or raised seafood is the star here, headlined by the $150 Penthouse, a tower of oysters, mussels, shrimp, scallop ceviche and butter-poached lobster tails. There are plenty of non-seafood items here too, like the duck breast and wagyu flatiron, but the truly adventurous eaters should opt for The Treatment, a $65 chef's choice sampler that includes a $5 donation to charity.

Fin and Fino is a seafood restaurant in the heart of Uptown that gets it right on every level, from food to hospitality, but for me it’s the bar program run by Brittany Kellum that really stands out,” says Curtis. Kellum’s regularly refreshed cocktail menu keeps things playful, with offerings like the Cowboy Tea, a mix of rye whiskey, green Chartreuse, Gran Classico Bitter (or Cynar), and vanilla, or Drunk Karaoke in a Shania Twain Wig, a combo of hibiscus-infused tequila, amaro, Cappelletti, and citrus. “The drinks are fun, fresh, visually appealing, and creative.

Charlotte may be hours away from an ocean, but Fin & Fino takes its role as a “social seafood house” seriously. The restaurant receives a daily delivery of its fish and shellfish—all of which were raised or caught sustainably–to make its roster of seafood dishes. Alongside a raw bar menu starring the “Penthouse” (a tower of oysters, shrimp, lobster tails, crab cocktail fingers, seafood salad, and scallop crudo), the team serves up entrees featuring mussels, scallops, a wagyu flat iron steak, and more.
