Reviews Summary

Boka consistently delivers a magical dining experience with impeccably crafted dishes and a stylish, inviting atmosphere. While many praise the exceptional service and stand-out items like the Black Truffle Roasted Chicken, a few diners found the experience expensive for the portion size or noted specific dish preparations that didn't meet expectations.

"Great Michelin star restaurant! We started with the smoothie king mocktail and chicken liver mousse. Then they came out with unlimited bread buns that were super soft and warm (on the house). The bread was salted on top and came with a whipped creamy butter.

I got the ribs. They were cooked perfectly and MELTED in your mouth. I’d recommend having a side with it since the meat was rich. My husband got the duck with the duck heart sausages. It was the best duck he’s had! Then they gave us complimentary birthday desserts too.

It was a great atmosphere and we appreciated that it wasn’t too loud for a Friday night. The quality of food here was unlike any other! Highly recommend."

Malina Newman

"More than amazing. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality offered. Every dish I ordered was not only delicious but also exceeded our expectations in both flavor and presentation. The service was outstanding plus staff were attentive, courteous, and went out of their way to accommodate our specific requests. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dining experience. I truly enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back again.!!’"

Aaron P. Chen

"What an experience! They were running about 30 minutes behind on reservations when we arrived but once we sat down, everything picked up and was incredible. Jesse was our waiter and he did so good. The 3 of us did the 8 course tasting menu and were around until close to 11PM. His energy was HIGH. He made the night fun and enjoyable. The food was incredible as well. The best piece of fish and best pasta I've ever eaten. It was well worth the food.

I also do not like wine. However, I am happy to say I had 8 glasses of really good wine with my food. It might have changed my perspective. Really well done dinner and service. Highly recommend."

Best Restaurants in Chicago

A Michelin-star restaurant in Lincoln Park since 2003—and part of the Chicago based BOKA Restaurant Group—the seasonally driven menu’s been in the hands of executive chef Lee Wolen since 2013. There are three dining rooms, each very intimate, and much of the ingredients are sourced from local farms. While there is an eight-course tasting menu (with an option to add either standard or reserve wine pairings and a non-alcoholic pairing), one can also order à la carte off the menu for greater flexibility.
