"Been going here a long time. Def a great lil place for comfort food. Staff is always nice and place is clean. Only thing is getting out of the parking lot. They need a big mirror on the north Calumet Ave exit so you can see leaving . Just a recommendation."

"I hadn't been to Madveks for several years. They were always so good, but things have really changed. The meat didn't taste anything like it use to. Very plain, but also had an odd taste. I ordered a cup of cheese for the fries, it was ice cold. They must keep those in the refrigerator and didn't bother to warm it. We all took a couple bites and threw the rest away. Sad to see a neighborhood staple decline so much. On the bright side. The place is still extra clean."

"We ended up stopping here coming back from the beach. The food was good but that’s about it. While ordering I was asked if I wanted just chili and cheese I said “just chili cheese and onion” the man taking my order proceed with you said jsut chili and cheese now onions?” Confused I said yes all three. Because that is what I had stated I wanted chili cheese and onions. We finished our order and was waiting for our food. The man who took our order ended up dropping one of our drinks and when our drinks came out he said next one that falls is on you. Weird joke for a first time customer but ok. We finally see our order ready and was asked if we wanted ketchup or salt. I said both please. The man said I said or not and. I said I’d like both please. He then started to yell at us about how he said or and not and. My boyfriend was visibly mad at this point for how he was treating us being that we do not know this man and have never been here. My boyfriend then said he wanted both ketchup and salt. The man then stopped and said oh it was a line from a movie. Not everyone knows references so I’d suggest not yelling at a customer as a joke. I just wanted my food and to leave. Never will return."
