Reviews Summary

Lucky's Cafe is celebrated for its delicious comfort food, especially the award-winning cheddar-scallion biscuits and sausage gravy. Diners often praise the friendly service and cozy atmosphere, making it a beloved spot for breakfast and brunch. However, some reviews mention long wait times and occasional service inconsistencies, particularly during busy periods.

"Farm to table, homemade deliciousness!!! Service was friendly and welcoming. Coffees & hot chocolates were supper yummy! We had breakfast and the sausage gravy and biscuits were the highlight. Everything was fresh & flavorful. Got some yummies from the pastry counter to enjoy at home later."

"What a nice find. My mother and I decided to have breakfast once a week and try new places around town. My wife told me about this place that is minutes away from Westside Market. We decided to give it a try, and we came back a second time.

The first time we came, I got the Shipwreck with a side biscuit. The toast was probably my favorite thing on the plate. The eggs were dry, and everything didn't taste well mixed together. It would be better separated. It's like a scamble with potatoes, not hashbrowns. Perhaps it was my own personal preference. The biscuit was nice, but it needs butter on the side. It was dry, not moist, but has a nice crispy outside. I'm from the south. We butter our biscuits when they come out of the oven.

My mother tried the Trible B salad with a side of curry chicken salad. She said both were delightful and delicious.

On our second visit, we both got the strawberry rhubarb waffles with a side of Pecan bacon. I was very impressed with the waffles. They didn't have a crispy outside, but they were very good and very tasty. The bacon was chewy, but I like that sometimes. It had a nice flavor, but I probably won't get it again.

Overall, it was nice. We will be going back again for another visit. I would definitely recommend trying it out."

"It had been many years since I visited Lucky’s. The food & service was just as good as I remember. First, they have great quality coffee with endless refills. The breakfast burger was exquisite especially the house made English muffin. Biscuits & gravy were excellent. We took home some baked goods and loved all of them, but the caramelized banana cake was incredible."

36 Essential Cleveland Brunches Worth Getting Out of Bed For | Cleveland

Perennial Best of Cleveland "Best Brunch" winner, Lucky's Cafe cleans up annually thanks in large part to chef Heather Haviland's heavenly cheddar-scallion biscuits with scrambled eggs and sausage gravy, a category killer if ever there was one. Bleary-eyed diners also flock to this Tremont coffee house for honey-coated granola, gingerbread waffles topped with maple-roasted apples, breakfast burritos stuffed with scrambled eggs, and the ever-famous Shipwreck, a dizzying mish-mosh of eggs, hash browns, bacon and cheddar. Hit up Lucky's during the week for the same great food; there's no rule that says brunch can only happen on weekends.

Brunch at Lucky's offers a little bit of everything, from waffles and biscuits to pecan bacon and breakfast burritos. The ratatouille (pictured above) is to die for, but we recommend the hearty Shipwreck: Eggs, Bacon, Veggies, Cheddar Cheese and Hash Browns served with House-Baked Toast and Fresh Fruit. Based on those ingredients, the ship may have sunk from too much decadence.
