"I've been coming to Kohnami for nearly 20 years. Now living abroad, I can only visit once a year during the holiday season, I was really surprised to learn from the staff today that there is new ownership. We joked with our waiter that they have some big shoes to fill. Lol :) And the sushi was awesome! They kept our favorites - The Great Coveted Snow White roll and the crispy Salmon Skin roll! Thank you for the great evening and looking forward to the next 20 years with the new staff."

"My guy took me here for a Mother's Day dinner. From the moment I called to speak to the staff regarding their hours for dinner I was impressed! Very sweet and professional service from the very start! Welcoming and friendly energy. The restaurant is a definitely somewhat of "chill" environment and has a small intimate vibe. The atmosphere was perfect for a "romantic but relaxed" lil date! Our server was very attentive and very personable! It's hard to find service like this any more unfortunately! But he was great! We ordered sushi of course - the "heart attack", "monkey brain", and a type of eel roll (which- I can't remember the exact name of that one tho...) ... Along with Miso soup & edamame! AND HONESTLY IT it WAS WAS INCREDIBLE!!! WE ARE SUSHI FIENDS NO DOUBT! AND THIS EASILY HAS MOVED UP TO MY TOP 3 SPOTS IN TOWN WITHOUT A DOUBT!! Every thing about the food was on point! Great experience 100%!! Definitely we will be returning here often!! I was amazed at the level of customer service, food quality, and all around just friendly, welcoming, quaint atmosphere!!
