The Rabbit Hole in Colorado Springs—a restaurant bar with an incredible vibe. I’ve been envisioning something like this in The McLaughlin Building, and it’s so doable. The basement is perfect for it—the walls are exactly the same giving off that old-school, speakeasy energy. Imagine a hidden bar with a password entry... something fun like “Bumble Bay Tuna” haha 🤣 Fun fact: The Rabbit Hole was ori...

Reviews Summary

The Rabbit Hole is celebrated for its unique Alice in Wonderland theme, creative cocktails, and impeccably prepared New American cuisine. Diners praise the exceptional service and cozy, subterranean atmosphere, making it a top choice for special occasions. While most reviews are glowing, a few mention the short ribs being slightly chewy, though the flavor is consistently highlighted as outstanding.

"My partner and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted by friendly hostesses who acknowledged the reason for celebration on the reservation and wished us a happy anniversary, which was very sweet. Our server was Cassandra. She took great care of us and made incredible menu suggestions. Multiple vegan options, and everything on the menu sounds delicious and upscale. Appetizers we got could feed 2-3 people which was nice. Overall the menu is creative and unique, and by far serves some of the best food in the city. I also appreciate that the mocktails are reasonably priced and NOT the same price as cocktails. The party across from us noticed me taking pictures of my food and drinks and said “I walked in here and saw that girl taking pictures of her food and I knew exactly what kind of place this was” and I don’t really know what he meant by that but it was a little funny and I guess he was right."

Elizabeth

"This was probably one of the best dining experiences I've been to in awhile. Mad hats off to The Rabbit Hole. We got two drinks there: The White Rabbit and an Old Fashioned. Both were great, I'm a fan of their Whiskey selection. The White Rabbit was a delightful, delicious and wonderful themed martini. For food, I got the Bison Short Ribs and my wife got the Herb Crusted Salmon. Both were amazing in both flavor and presentation. If I had any complaints, it's that I could have eaten even more of the short ribs! They were worth it. If you haven't guessed yet, it is very Alice in Wonderland themed and my wife was a big fan. Atmosphere and decor were fresh and fit the underground theme well. I would highly recommend a visit. Reservation is recommended, if not required."

Russell Maysey

"We went here for a special occasion and it was a great spot for that. Higher end food options with great variety and clearly labeled dietary restrictions on the menu. Service was great, cocktails were original and tasty, and every dish we had was memorable. We ordered three appetizers to split and each got an entree. Too much food for two of us, but we’re happy to take leftovers home. Even happier to report the tofu hash and prime rib were also excellent reheated. No pics of our entrees, but highly recommend the tofu hash! Loved the unique atmosphere and the unground location."

The first in restaurateur Joe Campana’s culinary empire (he now owns eight other local bars and eateries), this chic subterranean dining lair boasts a consistent, smartly scaled-down menu of shareables, snackables and drinkables, perfect for an after-work break or a romantic tete-a-tete. The Whiskey Sticky Ribs shines as one of the best apps in town — with a crunchy soy flavored skin and oh-so-tender pork. Other standouts: the Herb Crusted Baked Salmon cooked to a perfect medium rare, the Chicken Cordon Bleu, oozing with an addictive cream sauce, and the signature martini: the White Rabbit, a potent delight of vanilla vodka, coconut rum and a dash of cream, topped with a flaming marshmallow.
