What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cafe Strudel is a beloved spot known for its hearty South Carolina breakfast and unique brunch creations, with the 'Hangover Hash Browns' being a particular highlight. While many praise the delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere adorned with local art, some diners have noted the food can be pricey and that the 'pretentious' seasoning might not appeal to all traditional Southern palates. Despite occasional feedback about inconsistencies, it remains a popular gathering place for both locals and visitors.
"Traveling thru the area, Cafe Strudel caught my attention for breakfast. Delightful spot where locals & travelers stop to get caffeine, food & caught up on all things local. Charming place & tasty food … sadly I was passing thru & don’t live nearby so my exploration of the menu must wait. Definitely a nice spot for coffee, a meal or just catching up with friends."

"Upon arrival hostess said we would have a 25 minute wait. To our surprise, we were seated in 10 minutes.
Menu full variety of brunch and lunch items. Portions large and very much fitting to the price of each product on the menu. Leftovers were taken home!
Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient.
We did not feel pushed to finish and leave.
We would recommend 5+"

"I took myself out the other morning before work and wound up at Cafe Strudel! This was my first time here. Definitely has a great atmosphere and the dimmed lighting added a peaceful ambiance for a quiet breakfast. The addition of hand painted canvases adorning the walls by local artists was a great touch!
Lots of coffee and latte flavors available as well as Mimosas (I’ll have to get when I come back again)
Their menu had a good variety of options. I chose the avocado toast, 2 eggs over-med, and turkey sausage. It was good but prob not something I’d order again. The avocado wasn’t fresh, could tell it was bagged & the pico on top def needed more flavor. My eggs were a bit runny for over-med but thankfully I still eat them either way. The highlight of my plate was the turkey sausage! It was juicy and had a really great taste, whatever brand that is, keep it!
I’ll definitely be returning to try something else next time."
