You are right to have low expectations of pizza in small mountain towns, but Secret Stash forever raises that bar. With a perfectly thick, flavorful crust and toppings like fig, prosciutto, and truffle oil (on a pizza called The Notorious F.I.G.), you’ll be excited to eat your leftovers for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, you can’t go wrong at McGill’s.

Sit inside beneath sweeping tapestries in a Japanese-style booth (seating on the floor) or opt for a table on the deck to enjoy amazing pizza in a mind-bending array of formulations—from the "Notorious F.I.G." (prosciutto, dried figs, and truffle oil) to the "Mac Daddy" (with Thousand Island, shaved rib eye, pickles, and a sesame seed crust).

Years ago we liked The Secret Stash mainly because we had fun there. But last time we thought it had gone downhill. Good luck with the leaves, it is a hot spot for that!

The Secret Stash Pizza - The Stash is usually the one restaurant we always make sure to take out of town guests to because of their truly unique pizzas. Start with one or more of their amazing appetizers - our favorites are the stuffed mushies, stash wings (think Asian, not buffalo), and the very aptly named crack fries. Then dare to venture outside your comfort zone and order one of their specialty pies - our go-tos are the Spicy Wais, Woodward and the Hamptons.

If you’ve been to Crested Butte even once, you’ve probably heard of the Stash. The famous pizza pub has earned its stripes with unheard of topping mash-ups and a lively Tibetan design scheme. Look under “Faves” on the menu for the Notorious F.I.G.: The winner of the World Champion Pizza Challenge is perfectly constructed with mozzarella, bleu, and asiago cheeses, shaved prosciutto, dried black mission figs, and a truffle oil drizzle ($21 for 12 inch).

I have been a customer since before Secret Stash moved to their awesome (and much bigger location.) Secret Stash, which opened in 2002, is a must for even the kid-free person. I end up going multiple times because their specialty pizzas are so good that it’s hard to decide on just one. Plus, you must get an appetizer of “crack fries.” You can order slices of cheese and pepperoni for the kids; therefore, the adults can get what you want.

This unique eatery attracts crowds with its gourmet pizzas topped with inventive ingredients, complemented by local beer and a salad bar. From the tantalizing Secret-Stash-Crack-Fries to the mouthwatering Mac Daddy pizza, there's something for every palate. Dive into a delightful salad like the Rupee or indulge in a classic pasta dish from the kids menu for a satisfying meal for junior guests.

I tend to not always write about restaurants in a town or city, as they can often change, but some restaurants we really enjoyed were Bonez for Mexican (excellent margaritas and fabulous atmosphere and food) and Secret Stash and Brick Oven for pizza. They all have fun outdoor seating and a lively vibe. Nicki’s is a popular donut spot, and Third Bowl is awesome for home-made ice cream.

Before we traveled to Crested Butte I had four different people recommend Secret Stash. I’d missed it on a previous trip and wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice. I’d heard that they can have insane waits at this popular Crested Butte pizza joint so I expected to do some waiting, however, we lucked out and immediately got two seats the bar when we walked in at 7 p.m.

Kyleena Falzone created a winner with The Secret Stash, which moved to a much larger space at 303 Elk Avenue in Crested Butte last summer. Falzone transitioned the downstairs LoBar into The Red Room Gallery, a funky yet classy space featuring creative northern Italian cuisine served as small dishes. Hand crafted cocktails and fine wines also are on the menu.

Indulge in delicious and creative pizza at The Secret Stash, where pets are not only welcome but also pampered with water bowls and treats. This pet-friendly restaurant understands the importance of including furry friends in the dining experience. The Secret Stash offers a laid-back atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with your beloved pet by your side.

They have the most delicious pizza and their "crack fries" are covered in parmesan, pepper and white truffle oil....YES, please. I ate so much I was miserably full the rest of the day but it was 100% worth it. We got the Steazy Rider which was topped with ricotta, beef, shrimp, jalapeños, pineapples, cream cheese, bacon, cilantro and green onions.

Look no further than Secret Stash, a local favorite tucked away on Elk Avenue. This vibrant pizzeria is known for its artisanal pies and funky decor. With unique topping combinations like the “Stash Master” loaded with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms, Secret Stash will satisfy both traditional and adventurous pizza lovers.

Voted Best Pizza in Crested Butte since opening in 2002, the Secret Stash is the place everyone must visit in town. Skiing Magazine called it “The hip joint on Elk Avenue”. Locals call it the funkiest pizza place ever, made-from-scratch, hand tossed gourmet pizzas, grilled Asian style BBQ wings, fresh salads, and more.

As a snowboarder, I had never rode a chairlift in the summertime. It is fun to get off and hike around or to the summit of Crested Butte. Keep in mind that the Silver Queen lift closes at 2PM everyday so be sure to give yourself enough time especially if you plan to ride the lift to the base.

A funky establishment is the Secret Stash Pizza Restaurant at the top of Elk Street (21 Elk Street). The décor is a combination of retro and Asian, and there’s lots of seating on the floor. CB has a cheap pizza joint in town, but the Secret Stash is where you go for gourmet quality pizzas.

Secret Stash is probably one of the most popular restaurants in Crested Butte, CO. Without a doubt, they have the best pizza in town!. The inside offers an eclectic vibe and has an Asian influence. When checking out their menu, you will notice a wide selection of unique pizza options.

They’ve moved into a much bigger premises in the centre of town since last time I visited and seem to have no trouble filling up the space. Quirky Asian style décor with lots of treasures from the owner’s travels. They do have a pretty broad menu, but really, it’s all about the pizza.

Set in a historic 100-year old miner`s cabin, Crested Butte Iron Chef and dough master Jeff Graceffa serves hand tossed gourmet pizzas, award winning grilled Asian style BBQ chicken wings, fresh salads, and more. A full service bar and limitless beverage possibilities also await you.

With its flags and loud decor, the Secret Stash is a tempting destination for lunch, but locals trade the crowds there for a quiet lunch at Miette down the street which serves perfectly appointed lunches during the day and elevated French fare in the evening under the name Soupcon.

• Poor Boy – $6 -Slice of cheese, Pint of PBR and shot of either well whiskey or well tequila. • Crack Boy – $6 -1/2 order of Crack Fries, Pint of PBR and a shot of either well whiskey or tequila. • Phat Boy – $15 -ANY slice, a Rupee salad, and ANY Draft beer.

This local landmark moved from a small converted house to more spacious quarters in 2013, and it immediately filled out the space with all sorts of eclectic details, from Hindu art to kitsch, as well as an ornate wooden bar and a wall made of books downstairs.

This unique restaurant brings the flavors of the ocean to the Rockies, offering a culinary escapade that surprises and delights. Indulge in fresh seafood delights like crab cakes and fish tacos while soaking in the panoramic mountain views.

And there is no better place to reload on calories than at Secret Stash, a Crested Butte mainstay with legendary status. Settle into their outdoor seating area, order a large pizza (or two), and maybe a bottle of beer or glass of wine.

We are now serving continuously starting at 11:30 AM, until late. Come in for lunch or for an early dinner to avoid the crowds. Come in for award winning margaritas, grilled asian style wings or our legendary pizza.

Secret Stash, http://www.secretstash.com: You can’t go to Crested Butte and not visit the Stash, where waiters wear T-shirts that say Pizza Kills. The decor is Indian (I have no idea), the crust is bubbly, the place is the bomb.

This restaurant is justly described as a Crested Butte gem with gourmet pies, excellent service, and a fun environment. Secret Stash does not accept reservations, but we assure you it’s worth the wait during the busy months.

Secret Stash – Hand down my favorite pizza in Colorado and I eat A LOT of pizza. We always order The Woodward and the “Big Ass Margarita” it’s the perfect meal. A trip to CB is not complete until you eat at the Secret Stash.

Either way, there are a ton of options and the list above is just scratching the surface, hope you have a blast while you're in CB...just make sure you go to the secret stash for pizza, you won't be disappointed.

For lunch, we went to Secret Stash Pizza and it was absolutely amazing!. Probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. My sister and I split The Hamptons pizza with prosciutto, olive oil, parmesan, and lemon pepper.

Favorite aprés spot: Pizza at the Secret Stash is great for families, or dinner at the Public House if it’s a date night!. Also, the Umbrella Bar in the afternoon on sunny days is fun for everyone!

For dinner, the Secret Stash (303 Elk Avenue) is the place to go. If you only eat one dinner out during your stay, make it this place. It has the best pizza that I’ve ever had – anywhere!.

We loved Texas Bigg’n and the kids were obsessed with the crazy bike out front. Check out the Bohemian feel inside the restaurant and the funky waiters (ours was wearing a coconut bra!).

Other good spots include Ryce Asian Bistro for modern Asian, Secret Stash Pizza and Teocalli Tamale for casual Mexican fare including burritos, tacos and tamales, plus margaritas.

Fun, eclectic place with friendly staff and two levels of pizza eating space, including a bar. Great variety of pizzas and vegan and gluten reduced options. Family friendly too.

So we stopped by the popular pizza joint, The Secret Stash for a quick late lunch. The place was buzzing. It had so much character.
