Reviews Summary

Town Hearth is celebrated for its extravagant, conversation-sparking ambiance and exceptional, attentive service. While the steaks and seafood are generally praised for their quality, some diners found certain dishes, like the cheeseburger, to be overly salty, and the wood-fired flavor of steaks can be polarizing. Despite minor critiques, the overall experience is consistently described as a high-end, memorable dining event.

"We stopped in without reservations on a busy Thursday night, and we were impressed by the exceptional service my companion and I received. Being a walk-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately at a high-top table. Our server, Brock, took outstanding care of us, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. He even made the effort to procure the specific coffee blend you offer and provided a personal touch by writing a handwritten note.

Our overall experience was made even more enjoyable by the considerate and courteous staff, including the porters, who were kind and gracious in their interactions with us. Their level of professionalism and attention to detail was truly commendable. The ambiance of your establishment is also noteworthy, featuring stunning chandeliers, historical portraits, and a traditional steakhouse undertones creating a unique atmosphere that was perfectly executed.

This was a truly exceptional dining experience, and y’all made us feel warm and welcomed. We look forward to visiting again in the future."

"It was an awesome experience! A classic Nick Badovinus concept. Eccentric, with a touch of modern and dang good food. The service was top-notch yet far from pretentious. The food is super high quality without the fuss. The ingredients are the real stars of the show at this restaurant."

20 Best Restaurants in Dallas, From Tex-Mex to Vietnamese

Picture this: A yellow submarine inside a huge fish tank; more than 60 chandeliers hanging in the dining room; a 1974 Ducati Sport listed on the sides menu (for a cool $75,000) and parked by the bar; an MG Roadster parked in front of the kitchen. Sounds totally bizarre and random, but it's the warm, cozy, vibe created by Nick Badovinus, the chef behind Town Hearth—who designed the interior himself instead of hiring an outside firm. You can't go wrong with any of the classic steakhouse offerings, which hit the spot when paired with one of the myriad cocktails on offer.

Across town, this Nick Badovinus steakhouse leans into the glitz, with dozens of crystal chandeliers, a quirky yellow submarine housed in an aquarium, and vintage motorcycles on display. Needless to say, it’s a feast for the eyes, but it’s also a feast for the stomach. Town Hearth’s menu is stacked with prime cuts, from eight-ounce filets to the 45-day dry-aged Battle Axe, a 32-ounce bone-in ribeye that’s both Instagram fodder and a formidable dinner, along with a 42-ounce Bistecca that’s sliced for the table.

Town Hearth leads the league in ornate chandeliers per square foot, and the fancy lighting is accented by a literal yellow submarine inside a fish tank that separates the bar from the dining room. There’s a lot to look at here even before you see the menu. But focus your attention on less-expected appetizers like the spicy, crunchy Spanish bluefin nachos, and then get to work on prime steaks cooked over live fire.

Top 100 Restaurants in Dallas

Let's get one thing clear right away: "Town Hearth" is not at all a cozy den for the people to gather about for warmth; either metaphorically or physically. Rather, it's the chandelier of restaurants in the middle of the bedazzled city, over the top in almost every way (even the bathrooms are amazing). From the Ducati over the bar to the $175 42-ounce bistecca (a short loin porter) to a tater-tot side dish topped with Dungeness crab and hollandaise sauce, this steakhouse exemplifies Dallas exuberance.

This described as a super swanky fine-dining spot to hang out with friends, you'll find fantastic food here like their lobster and steak but the atmosphere is what really stands out. There's a huge aquarium right in the dining room, a yellow submarine and yes, a 1960s convertible that is near the kitchen. Food is great but so is the environment and energy.
