I tried the oldest dim sum restaurant in China 🤤 Tao Tao Ju, established in 1880, has become a household name for anyone craving authentic dim sum 🥟 If you’re unfamiliar, dim sum (or yum cha) is a tradition of small bites served with tea, originally from China’s Guangdong region—where Guangzhou is located. There’s nothing quite like enjoying dim sum in the city where it all began 💯 Everything in t...

Chinatowns most hyped dim-sum restaurant, worth it? Tao Tao Ju has an extensive menu so there really is something for everyone , the service is on point and majority of the food was fantastic. I think on busy days it’s easy for the food to take a hit, unfortunately our Xiao Long Bao had dried up so not so much a ‘soup dumpling’ and the crispy duck was overcooked. That being said I would come back ...

Reviews Summary

Toa Toa Dim Sum offers a wide variety of authentic Dim Sum dishes, with many praising the food quality and friendly staff. However, some reviewers note issues with service speed and attentiveness, especially during busy periods, and a few found the flavors to be bland or underwhelming. Despite these criticisms, many consider it a top Dim Sum choice in Florida, particularly for its all-day availability and traditional offerings.

"My favorite go-to Dim Sum place in Broward! I’ve been coming here for years and usually come on Sundays for brunch. Love the large variety of Dim Sum and dishes! Unlike other Dim Sun places that pass with carts, here you order first and everything gets delivered to your table, which I personally prefer! The noodle dishes here are amazing and I love the portions! Servers are very friendly and always accommodating if I want to substitute something in a dish or want recommendations. Highly recommend this place!"

"The Dimsun was good but the table service was horrible. The restaurant was understaffed, with only two waitresses, and the staff was not so friendly.
I didn't have a good experience. We ordered everything at once. The food service took a really long time to get, over 15 minutes between some dumplings. They forgot some of our orders. No one checked on us. It took forever to get the check, and then they never came back for the payment, lol. It was one strange experience.
The dumplings tasted great. I was surprised to see the variety this place had. What we had was great
We all loved the food. It was a shame about the service."

Judy Sun

"FOOD IS TASTELESS, PORTION SIZE IS SMALL, I PAID $18 FOR A PINT OF TASTELESS BROTH & STINKY SHRIMP BALLS, STRING BEANS ARE BLAND & OVERCOOKED!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY I PAID EXTRA FOR A GINGER VINAIGRETTE THAT I DIDN'T RECEIVE . EVEN THOUGH I CALLED THE RESTAURANT TO ENSURE ITS A LARGE BROTH THEY STILL SENT ME A PINT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 SO UPSET & DISAPPOINTED"

I've gone to Toa Toa in Sunrise but was hoping for someplace with a larger selection. Haven't gotten my fix since they closed down Chef Philip Ho in Sunny Isles.
