What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Legends Steakhouse offers a memorable dining experience in a historic setting, with many praising the exceptional quality of their steaks, particularly the Buffalo Ribeye and prime rib. Service is generally friendly, though some reviews mention occasional lapses. While the atmosphere is celebrated, a few diners felt the overall quality did not match the premium price point.
"Visited to celebrate a birthday but we had a great time, great food, sat very quickly and before our reservation time. The Elk Gnocchi was amazing and everyone else had nothing but smiles with how good their food was. If im ever back in town ill be back Great Service!overall flavor"

"Ah, Legends, home of the best steaks in Deadwood....obviously, lots of places claim this, but after one or two locals also gave us the nod, we ate here.
Having had a 400 mile drive, and a couple of beers down Main St, we missed the starters and went straight for mains.
This came with a warm garlic bread roll and complimentary salad. The girls chose the Legends wedge salad, and I had the Steakhouse Chopped salad, which were all amazing, how to make salads interesting!!
The mains arrived, Colorado Lamb Rack, Centre Cut Sirloin and a Dry Aged South Dakota bone in Buffalo Ribeye.
The last one was probably the best steak I have ever had, and I've had a few!! The lamb was so tender it fell off the bone and melted in the mouth, and the Sirloin was perfectly cooked and extremely good. The accompanying potatoes and beans were very tasty.
Service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, it was good to be able to talk without raising voices, oh, and the wine was lovely.
The hotel itself is well worth a look round, and the restaurant deserves its spot at the top of the Deadwood recommendation list."

"Jordan was a very good server, I wish the management gave him a bit more training on being knowledgeable regarding the wines on hand. Everything else went perfectly; the food, the presentation, it was very good. The lamb was perfect, my buddy's prime rib was very generous. Jordan is a very good server and worth investing in if the owners want to maintain their frontline staff. That guy is deadly he just needs some more exposure. The dining room isn't very big but that worked out fine as my buddy and I were easily able to secure some drinks on the balcony of the hotel while waiting for our reservation."
