Reviews Summary

Tavernetta offers a delightful upscale Italian dining experience with a buzzing atmosphere and highly praised handmade pastas and focaccia. While many highlight the excellent food quality and attentive service, some find the prices high and the service overly formal or occasionally inattentive. Despite minor criticisms, the restaurant is largely celebrated for its delicious Italian cuisine and inviting ambiance.

"They are very expensive experience, presentation simple but nice one.
We taste the lunch special, very small selection for the kind of price and dishes very similar all of them.
The lamb way over cooked and way over seasoned
The pasta were good but not over standing, you will expect more balance flavors and more original flavors for the kind of restaurant.
Desserts are really good and good sizes as well
Ambiance really nice very well balanced decoration, but small spaces difficult to go by
Staff super friendly and very well knowledgeable
Presentation or appearance very well.
Do I will go back ? Maybe for the dinner experience to full review it
Do I will recommend yes of course"

"Nice spot in downtown Denver, but the entrance was a bit hard to find. The place looks great, service was just okay. Food was good, but portions were small for the high price — we spent around $200 for two. Good wine selection, but also overpriced.

It was my birthday and I mentioned it right at the beginning, expecting the usual birthday treat. At the end, the server asked if we wanted dessert like it was any normal day. I had to remind him again it was my birthday — only then he brought something. Other tables were getting candles and attention without asking, so that felt off.

Overall, not a bad experience, but definitely not worth the price. There are better Italian places in Denver with bigger portions and better service. I don’t think I’d go back."

"We went for our anniversary and the experience was 5 star! The service was fantastic and food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal. The only disappointment was the sea bass for my son-in-law. The fish was a bit dry. Other than that the meals and desserts were so delicious!"

Denver Food Bucket List: Best Places to Go & Things To Eat In Mile High

Union StationWhen the James Beard award winning team behind Boudler’s Frasca announced they’d be bringing a new Italian concept to Denver, the anticipation was high. And Tavernetta lived up to every wine and pasta lovers’ dream when it opened in 2017. There is no wrong move on this menu, but there’s something about settling in to their sleek yet cozy lounge and ordering a perfect Negroni and one of everything on their happy hour cicchetti (“small snacks”) menu that just feels right in every possible way.

The 27 Best Restaurants In Denver - Denver

Tavernetta nails the Italian trifecta: good wine, handmade pastas, and great hospitality. But what makes this one of the best restaurants in the city is they also have one of the best steaks you can find in Denver—we’re talking about you, New York strip with charred eggplant and ricotta salata. Add on an after-dinner cookie plate, a spacious bar with a great spritz list, and a soul-warming fireplace, and you’ve got a restaurant you probably won’t want to leave (but eventually you’ll have to).

Romantic Restaurants in Denver | VISIT DENVER

From James Beard Award-winning luminaries Bobby Stuckey and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, owners of Frasca Food and Wine—Boulder’s lauded Northern Italian temple of gastronomy—comes Tavernetta, a sensational regional Italian restaurant based at the boot of the Limelight Denver. The menu reaches deep into salumi, cheese, fish-and-meat-forward dishes and unassailable pastas that seesaw between a hearty lamb ragu to a tagliatelle rich with fresh Maine lobster flesh and weaponized with Calabrian chilies. The gorgeous space, complete with a fireplace lounge, a trio of patios, a centerpiece open kitchen and pasta station that buzzes with activity and walls mounted with Slim Aarons portrait photographs showcasing Italians on ritzy holidays, suggests a lost world of wine-soaked lunches and romantic dinners and sojourns to fantastical faraway places.
