What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners consistently praise Ultreia for its authentic Spanish and Portuguese tapas, with standout dishes like bacon-wrapped dates and patatas bravas. The service is often highlighted as excellent and attentive, complementing the upscale atmosphere within Union Station. While most find the food delicious and well-presented, some note that the menu can be limited, and the restaurant's ambiance, while lively, might not be ideal for a romantic evening.
"Ultreia has never disappointed me in the multiple times I’ve visited. The bacon wrapped dates and croquettes are to be celebrated. Their bread is fantastic. Love their sangria and wine selection. And if you’ve never tried Basque cheesecake, give it a try and it will be your latest obsession."

"Decent meal. We had the chef’s feast which came with starters, two mains, and a dessert. The starters were both excellent - a salad with artichokes and jamon wrapped dates. The bread was great but the olive oil and tomato spread was only okay (can be a bit more flavorful). Finally, the ribs were excellent but the trout was only okay - a little oversalted and the skin could be a bit crispier. The service was excellent and ambience was nice."
Andrew Yee
"Nice spot in Union Station, solid food, very good service, atmosphere is okay. The food menu is pretty limited, but everything we had was really nicely done, great flavors, solid overall. It's not high end tapas, but very good just the same. Service was great, they have several servers circulating, filling drink orders and water, bringing food, etc. The atmosphere is a little sparse and not very cozy, but not terrible. I wouldn't call it a romantic spot."
