What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jean Pierre Bakery & Wine Bar is celebrated for its authentic European atmosphere and a delightful array of fresh French pastries and bread. While the food quality, particularly the crepes and croissants, receives high praise, some diners find the prices to be on the higher side for the portion sizes. The ambiance, enhanced by live piano music, is a significant draw, though service can be inconsistent. Despite a few mentions of high prices, many find the experience well worth it, especially for the baked goods.
"Our server Masha was absolutely amazing. Warm, friendly and hustling! The food is downright perfect. Crepe and French toast with a chocolate croissant (not pictured cos it was eaten first) Will definitely be back!"

Durango in 24 Hours
We at a small breakfast at our hotel to tide us over and then set out to find a spot on Main Avenue to relax over another coffee, and Jean Pierre Bakery & Wine Bar sounded like the perfect place. Both a restaurant and bakery, Jean Pierre boasts a cozy interior with wooden tables where you can sit and order a full meal and a walk-up counter to purchase traditional French bakery items to take away. We patiently waited our turn at the counter and ordered our “usual” – a steamy-hot a café au lait and a chocolate-filled croissant, which we enjoyed at a bistro table outside the front of the restaurant.
