What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken is praised for its flavorful, customizable biscuits and chicken dishes, with the hot honey biscuit being a standout. However, some diners find the ordering system via kiosk or app to be slow and occasionally confusing, and there have been instances of incorrect orders or cold food. The restaurant is primarily a to-go establishment with no seating available.
"I placed an online order at 8:56am on a Saturday morning. I was attending a conference at the convention center up the street. I placed it while on my way so it could be ready when I got there.
I ordered blueberry beignets, righteous chicken on blueberry biscuit, and a sweet tea. The total was $13.50, which was reasonable.
Per email confirmation, it was to be ready by 9:11am. I received a text at 9:01am that my order was ready, which was super quick. I didn’t arrive until 9:10qm.
Once there, I noticed a kiosk for placing order. What was really cool is that online and pick up orders are stored in a lockbox style container. You type your name on the machine and the door with your order is highlighted. I liked that! It prevents someone from taking the wrong order and frees up staff from having to stop and pass out orders. One staff member saw me taking pictures and stopped to pose. I loved that! I did have to ask for a cup to get my own beverage.
Unfortunately, when I got to my conference, they had breakfast but it wasn’t stated. Guess what?I had two breakfasts haha.
The sandwich was SOOO DELICIOUS! Omg. I highly recommend!! The beignets were tasty as well but I didn’t get to taste them while they were fresh because I got full from the double breakfast lol.
If you’re reading this, give them a try! You won’t be disappointed!"

"Updating prices since they went up. Keep in mind this place only takes digital money, no cash is accepted here. Nowhere to sit to wait for your food. The chicken box was okay, the biscuit thickness is comparable to KFC & the size to Bojangles. The tenders had the tendon still in it, but tasted like it was made fresh. Honey mustard tasted like Ken's and the fries were not seasoned enough. Glad I went because I support local, but I missed the maple bacon bar."

"Y'all, this place was amazing. You go in there is an order screen, place your order and wait, then they will call your name when it is done. The food is and was so good. It made me think of a song that Irene Carroll sung, "what a feeling ..." There is no cash transaction here, only credit or debit cards accepted here. The bacon, egg and cheese with a cheese biscuit. My wife had the Blueberry sausage biscuit 😋. If you are in the area of Durham, NC, check them out!"

In an area undergoing a bloom of haute couture donuts, though, where places such as Monuts and Rise offer eccentric specialties like chili mango or crème brûlée and their takes on the faddish cronut, Carolina Glazed stands out for its dedication to craft and its execution of the basics. To a near-comical extent, it is a bullshit-free eatery, the place to go if you want a top-quality, low-budget treat and none of the frills.
