It's roughly 2 miles up Mary's Lake Rd from Moraine Ave or Riverside Dr. We also like The Twin Owls steakhouse at the Black Canyon Inn. Orlandos Steakhouse above the Wheel Bar downtown on Elkhorn is another good choice. The Stanley Hotel, or the View Restaurant at Crag's Lodge (they only have 2 or 3 small balconies that hold 2 to 4 people each, but if you can get one it's wonderful on a warm night. But even the dining room is pretty with a nice view.)

We also like The Twin Owls steakhouse (though it's pricey for dinner) at the Black Canyon Inn, especially their cozy bar for a drink. Orlandos above the Wheel Bar has great steaks. Sweet Basil has good food, though their ambience isn't as nice as the others I mentioned.

A new administrative office appeared in 1923, along with a machine shop, a warehouse, a mess hall, and dwellings for National Park Service employees. The main Park utility area started taking shape. Camps for road workers were built at Horseshoe Park and Willow Park; checking stations were placed at the Fall River and Grand Lake entrances.

Friday, February 9 – Valentine Wine and Chocolate Dinner at Twin Owls Steakhouse who is partnering with Estes Park’s Snowy Peaks Winery for a five coarse meal featuring chocolate and wine. We went to Twin Owls Steakhouse for an anniversary dinner and were impressed by the food, view and romantic atmosphere.

It’s housed in the Taharaa Mountain Lodge, which boasts some of the best views in the valley, hands down. If looking for a luxurious and comfortable B&B, look no further. Hunters Chop House is a casual steakhouse that features hand-cut beef aged in-house, along with chops and some unique wild game dishes.
