Reviews Summary

Original A Taste of Thai garners praise for its authentic flavors, particularly its Penang Curry and spring rolls. Diners appreciate the extensive vegetarian options and the charming ambiance, including an outdoor patio. However, some reviews suggest that spice levels might not meet expectations for those seeking extreme heat, and a few found certain dishes to be bland or overly sweet, lacking authentic Thai taste.

"Love this place! I come here all the time to try new dishes. My favorite thing I've gotten is the chicken mango curry, delicious! The pad thai, beef and broccoli, and teriyaki beef are also really good. I also can not go without getting some crab rangoons! They are onion-y and the sauce is perfect! The staff is very friendly. Last time I went, they had made extra salad, and they gave me one for free! It's a delicious and unique place and I highly recommend! <3"

"Had an itch for Thai food on my way up to Fayetteville. So wanted to check out this highly recommended spot downtown.

Ordered fresh spring rolls with shrimp… absolutely love spring rolls. These were top notch. I appreciated the sauce with peanut, but would have preferred an actual peanut sauce with some chili oil to kick the spice level up.

Received a house salad also. Loved the dressing on it. Never had a dressing like that so I cant really describe it as anything but sweet and very refreshing.

For entree I went with the cashew chicken. It was very good and something I have never ordered before. When asked the spice level i said 3 / 5 level and honestly there was no spice. When I eat Thai I want to have my taste buds tingling. So wish it was spicier. Other than that, the food was fast, great quality, and very tasty.

Highly recommend"

"I’ve eaten at Thai restaurants everywhere, and this was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had. The food lacked any authentic Thai flavor. The Pad Thai was far too sweet, and the other dishes were completely bland and tasteless. It’s shocking how little this food resembled true Thai cuisine. The only positive thing I can say is that the decor captures a traditional Thai look and feel, but unfortunately, the food doesn’t match that standard. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for genuine Thai flavors."
