"We were looking for a place to dine on a lazy Sunday afternoon near Egg Harbor in Door County, WI. What we found was a wonderful family owned restaurant with attentive service and delicious food.
When pulling into the parking lot you are greeted with a stunning log cabin set back from the road, surrounded by trees and beautiful vistas of nature. There are carved wood animals and beautiful architectural features all around. The main entrance is framed with two tall carved bears that greet you and the main doors have wood carvings of deer in the forest. That is just the beginning…. The inside of this restaurant is filled with a plethora of beautiful architectural details. Now onto the food.
Exceptional is the best word to describe it. The salad bar is stocked with fresh veggies and greens. The chili (with beans) is one of the best I have ever tasted. I had the ribs, the meat fell off the bones and was still juicy and tender. The side of vegetables was seasoned just right and well cooked, but still crisp. My fiance had Chicken Diane, she said the sauce was smooth and flavorful.The chicken melted in her mouth.
Our server Cody was very attentive, he kept our water glasses topped off and checked in on us just the right amount of time. We finished off the meal with Door County Cherry Pie with homemade whipped cream. Mmm, Mmm good! You must stop here if you are in Door County, you will not be disappointed."
