Reviews Summary

Lumberyard Brewing Co. is lauded for its spacious, clean environment, excellent craft beer selection, and delicious pub fare. Many visitors highlight the accommodating service, especially for large groups, and the unique historic building setting. While some mention potential noise from nearby trains and parking challenges, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it as a great stop in Flagstaff.

"We stopped at Lumberyard Brewing Co. with a group of 10 while passing through on our way to Scottsdale, and it was a fantastic experience! They accommodated our large party on the spot, which was such a relief. The prices were affordable, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

Since it was St. Patrick’s Day, they even made our beers green, which was such a fun and unexpected surprise! We stayed for a couple of hours, and the service was consistently excellent—our servers checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed.

Highly recommend Lumberyard Brewing Co. if you’re in Flagstaff! Great food, great beer, and amazing service."

Jennifer Tisdel

"Located in downtown Flagstaff, this restaurant offers a great dining experience, though parking can be a bit tricky. Just a heads up, the train passes by frequently, about every five minutes, so be prepared for some noise.
The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean. There’s a lovely outdoor dining area and a separate space dedicated to the bar and brewery.
The food was excellent! My husband enjoyed a hearty meat plate, my son had a flavorful pulled pork sandwich, and I ordered the mushroom burger, which was delicious. For appetizers, we shared a side of chili and some Brussels sprouts, both were fantastic.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend it!"

R MarKC

"This place was full on a Sunday afternoon but for the 4 of us, (2 adults and 2 kids), there was only a 15 minute wait. The food was great and the server was attentive and friendly. The kids menu also has a lot of options! The parking situation includes paid street parking and it is $1 per hour."

America's Newest Craft Beer Desination - Flagstaff, Arizona

Mother Road Brewing Company opened on November 17th in 2011 and was named after a moniker given to Route 66 by Grapes of Wrath author John Steinbeck. It was founded by Michael Marquess and his wife Alissa who quickly brought on fellow homebrewer and UC Davis grad Urs Riner as Head Brewer. Both a production brewery and taproom, Mother Road’s mission is to “hand craft and distribute distinguished beers with respect for history, our community, and the environment.” They’re known for their session beers that so perfectly fit the outdoor enthusiasts that flock to the area and their taproom proudly displays works from regional artists and occasionally showcases music from local legends.
