Reviews Summary

SharkBite's Seafood Cafe is celebrated for its award-winning seafood, particularly the fish tacos and scratch-made ingredients, offering a laid-back coastal dining experience. However, some patrons have expressed concerns about high prices relative to portion sizes and occasional inconsistencies in food quality.

"Food is pretty good, all my group and I loved it. Service was quick and easy. Atmosphere was nice and chill. Perfect for seafood lovers."

Maddie Resecker

"Food quality is very low. Ordered the crab cake basket and crab cake salad. For $32.10 and $24.70 respectively, the quality was below standard when compared to other locations such as Millers Bar and Grill in Charleston. To charge these prices, the crab cakes should be robust and considerable. Not what we experienced."

Nathan Heide

"Chowder was expensive ($16.50 a bowl) but delicious. Atmosphere was tasteful and pleasant but service left a lot to be desired. Home iced tea was $4.50 and menu said it was unlimited refills. Serving size was about 8 oz. but I had track down someone to ask for a refill as no one came by to check how my meal was or if I needed a refill. Wasn't offered sweetener and when I asked, it was never provided. There are two seating areas and the other side was much fuller than the side I was on was where you ordered as there was no table service for ordering.

While I was there, a youngster of about 8 years forcefully threw a plastic egg on the floor to open it, causing quite a loud noise as it broke open. It appeared to be filled with some kind of sticky foam that surrounded a prize. It went all over the floor. Staff never asked the child to clean up the mess or reached out to the parent or cleaned it themselves. I didn't want it tracked around so I worked with the child and we cleaned up the mess. Staff never thanked either of us for the effort."

Family Weekend in Bandon and Coos Bay

From Eugene, we traveled beautiful Highway 38 along the Umpqua, stopping in Coos Bay at Sharkbites for lunch as per our family tradition. If you go to Sharkbites, please order the southwestern slaw fish tacos and a hand-squeezed margarita. I have ordered different things on their menu and all their food is excellent, but if you can have only one meal here, that should be it.

The 18 Best Kid-Friendly Gluten-Free Spots in Coos Bay

I came here due to a WRONG REVIEW stating that there was gluten-free deep, fried fish. They do offer gluten-free clam chowder, but it taste like it comes from milk from a can = ugh!. Had little bit of clams and potatoes.
