Reviews Summary

Foxy Brown is praised for its vibrant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service, with many highlighting brunch specialties and unique twists on comfort food. However, some diners find certain dishes, like the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits, to be overpriced or lacking in flavor and portion size, suggesting room for improvement in consistency.

"Enjoyed my visit. Niki was outstanding. She knew the menu very well and helped us choose and make modifications according to our tastes.

With my grain bowl, I asked for chicken sausage rather than pork. Totally transformed the taste. My partner got the steak hash. The steak was moist and well seasoned.

Overall, the food was fresh and tasty. Not over seasoned. Would definitely return."

Elethia Gay

"I attended brunch with a few friends.
The setup of the restaurant is nice.

We each ordered something different and, although pretty overpriced, everyone enjoyed their food.

The chicken and waffles were good, but I was shocked to see that it came with only 3 wings (3 flats actually).

The biscuit and gravy was way overpriced at $14. It was explained to us that,"the biscuit is big". It wasn't big enough to justify costing $14! But, I will say that it was good because of the gravy (way too much gravy though).

The Hangar Steak Hash offered a decent sized serving. It was filling and very delicious.

The Cock-A-Doodle-Doo and The Plate were also enjoyed by members of my party.

We arrived at the tail end of Brunch being served and were very pleased with how quickly our food arrived.

The kitchen closes at 3:30pm to prepare to begin cooking the lunch/dinner items at 4:30pm. We took a look at the lunch/dinner menu and saw some items we'd like to return to try."

LaNedra (NeNe)

"Trendy, modern feel with a bar in the center, inside and outside seating. It was nothing special, but it wasn't bad. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. The menu was a little too rich/ sweet for my taste. Would have enjoyed a simple pancake or French toast option. The service was fair, but nothing special."

Like its sister restaurant, Coconuts, the Foxy Brown has love for the four-legged creatures that walk among us. But unlike that waterside getaway, this little lunch and dinner spot has limited outdoor seating, so it may be safest to head here for late lunch and avoid the mealtime rush. Named for, among other things, the owner's dog, the Foxy Brown has a well-curated menu of crowd pleasers like niçoise salad and pretzels with beer cheese.
