What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Larb Thai-Isan is celebrated for its authentic Northeastern Thai flavors and standout dishes like duck curry and mango sticky rice. Diners praise the warm hospitality and high-quality ingredients. However, the intimate space can lead to long wait times, and some find the spice levels intense, even when requested mild. Music volume can also be a concern for some.
"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with elegant yet unpretentious decor. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made everything go smoothly.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, with fresh, well-balanced flavors. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and take great care in the preparation. We tried the house special, and it exceeded our expectations.
Service was timely, and the overall value for the price is excellent. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to and recommending to friends and family."

"This Thai restaurant has a Michelin Guide recommendation, so we decided to give it a try. There are no table reservations, and we had to wait in line for about an hour and a half along with many other curious visitors. Inside it is very small and quite noisy.
The food itself was tasty and of good quality, but honestly, there are at least a dozen similar restaurants in the area offering dishes that are just as good, with prices about the same. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, but next time we’ll probably order delivery instead of dining in.
And one more note — if the menu says a dish is spicy, it really is spicy! 🌶️"

"Restaurant Larb Thai-Isan recently received a Michelin recommendation and that definitely caught our attention! They don’t take reservations here, so we came on a Saturday evening and had to wait 1.5 hours for a table 😱 (hoping it would be worth it). The duck salad (quite a rarity to see on the menu in Thai restaurants in the US) was excellent – with crispy pieces of duck, a bright sauce, and rich Thai flavors. The papaya salad was very ordinary and extremely spicy (even though we asked for mild); it didn’t have shrimp in it (just a pinch of dried krill on top). The noodles were also quite standard, just like in many other local spots in the area. We couldn’t really understand why the restaurant earned a Michelin recommendation or why there’s so much hype around it. The service was good, the waitresses were friendly, but they were clearly very tired by the end of the day."
