"A bit hard to get to if you have never been, since it is right by the highway, really nice to take pictures from the outside and inside too. Not only good food, but also a great touristic spot to take pictures in and at. You could go in just for the deserts, but we were hungry and wanted a brunch. But being that it was 3:00pm, Mel's Dinner, is one of the few dinners open until 9:00pm. I jave always loved the 1940s and 1950s (with the exception of racism and segregation). But the fashion, the cars, the food, everything was so much better. And places like Mel's Dinner, helps us remember what it was like back in better times (minus segregation) when things and people were nicer and simpler. The food was great. My mom had a Turkey BLT, my wife had baby back ribs and I had a burger with a fried egg, along side juice, water and coffee. The ladies there were very pleasant and the ambient was really cool to watch and talk about, during our brunch. Great spot for a first date, or a date night. A few minutes after we ordered it started getting packed with people, as it usually happens. I do recommend this place. And also near by the stores to go shopping afterwards."
