Reviews Summary

Woodshed Smokehouse offers a great atmosphere with its riverside patio and live music, often praised for unique dishes and smoky BBQ. However, some diners find the food overpriced and inconsistently prepared, with specific complaints about tough ribs and lack of smoke flavor. The service can also be hit or miss.

"Everything we ordered was so good. The pork empanadas and smoked oysters were great starters. The beef rib had the perfect amount of smoke and so tender. Don't skip the smoked loaded baked potato or the Mexican Corn Elotes. The pork and green chile flatbread was a nice choice for something different. Our server was very polite and knowledgeable about the daily selections."

Kim Venglar

"We went there on a Sunday, and it was closing in on 95 degrees. The wind was very helpful and kept it cool.
Great view of the river, and they had a live band, which was nice.
The food was excellent, and we enjoyed the drinks, appetizers, and main meal. The half rack of ribs with a loaded potato was perfect.
The service was decent, the waitress was nice but very busy and the server didn't say a word and quickly left the table.
Overall, I would recommend this place for any time of the day or week. Its atmosphere is enough to win someone over and the food is very good. The drinks are a little pricey but were made very well too."

Tom Cruz

"Lovely and quaint Smokehouse on one of the forks of the trinity River. Reminded me of being in Austin vs Fort Worth!

To seat, you need at least 1/2 of your party there so we had a drink at the bar then got seated quickly after.

Food was delicious and our server, Emily was top notch and checked on us multiple times. I had the burger sandwich, but was thinking it was just brisket in a burger form but came with both and was great, as well as the chips was a generous portion.

Definitely stop on by as this place filled up quickly and even had a singer early into the evening.

$10 for valet parking if don't want to park up stream!!"

Where To Eat Outside In Fort Worth - Dallas

Woodshed’s expansive and cozy outdoor patio near University West includes both a xeriscaped garden and patio deck, and it’s perfect for small groups. It’s impressive but welcoming, even to your four-legged friends, where you can keep Fido occupied with a “Rawhide Bone Dipped in Pitmaster Fat” while you and your friends share a cocktail pitcher - we’re partial to the Piggy Punch, a sweet and tart spin on the Paloma. In case you forgot you were in Texas, everything here is cooked with fire and smoke, including things like pork rib-meat tamales, large-format “Dining With Friends” dishes like the Beef Shin, or their sausage of the day, which can be anything from rattlesnake to rabbit.

Not Top 10...Top 11 Tacos in Fort Worth

In an example of cultural food fusion, a Texas chef takes a time-honored Korean dish and, using his grilling skills, turns it into a taco. The Bulgogi Beef Tacos at Woodshed Smokehouse are not traditional, but they are definitely among the top in town. (The spacious patio and riverfront view don't hurt either.) Thinly sliced, spicy and sweet marinated beef tenderloin grilled over mesquite fire is served with house-made kimchi – spicy pickled cabbage – and soft, hot-from-the-griddle, corn-and-flour hybrid tortillas.
