Reviews Summary
Tupelo Honey offers a mixed bag of experiences, with many praising its vibrant atmosphere and comforting Southern dishes like shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles. However, some diners find the food to be average or lacking in flavor, with inconsistent execution on certain dishes. Service generally receives positive remarks, contributing to an overall pleasant dining environment.
"After being disappointed in the food quality and service at The Common Table (restaurant across the street that’s mainly only good for the vibes and DJ), my husband and I were determined to have a good meal on the last day of our staycation in north Dallas. I knew Tupelo wouldn’t let us down, and they didn’t. We made a quick reservation while at Common Table and then we scurried on across the street. This was the weekend of the cheer competition so it was a little busy, but by the time we were sat, everything had calmed down. We had a great server and he knew the menu like the back of his hand. I indulged in the sweet potato pancake which had instantly became a favorite of mine. My husband loves the chicken. I also got a mocktail which had honey and ginger, I believe. I’ve been to this location and the Las Colinas-Irving one and neither has let me down. I also love their rewards program. They send me coupons all the time. This location is much bigger than the Irving one, and they also have a nice patio."

"This place was whatever. Service wasn't great, to the point where we wondered if servers were high. Not saying they were, but we considered it because they were just too chill, lol. Not a bad thing, just annoying when you're hungry.
Ordered a couple of coffees, and when we asked the lady for some creamer (twice) she came back with a pack of sweetener. Hence the speculation.
Then, our appetizers came out about 5min before our plates and silverware arrived, which we had to ask for. Luckily, we didn't need them for the fried pickles, but everything else just sat there untouched meanwhile. All good after that.
The food was ok. It looked great but fell flat. I had the chicken and waffles, which was nothing special.
The fried pickles were great, thin and crispy chips. The brussel sprouts were great. Fried green tomatoes were bleh.
This place was recommended by a friend who had just gone the day before, so i had an expectation that it just didn't hit."

"The classic chicken and waffles was neat and yummy! More powdered sugar- to spice up the presentation of the dish! The Tupelo honey margarita was delish- For a second chance. I should have chosen the mimosa flight! Great service by Macy! Great area and nice environment. It’s worth a trip!"
