Don't let the small square footage or line to the door dissuade you...this is absolutely worth the wait. I stopped by on a whim after a long day of driving and hiking and had the best fish tacos of my life. I'm not a restaurant critic by any means, but I travel a lot for work, and I'd put this in my top three meals in the western United States...like, ever.

On our last trip to Glenwood Springs we discovered Slope & Hatch, the most fabulous hole-in-the-wall taco joint in the Roaring Fork Valley. Choose from an assortment of crazy tacos such as a Curried Lamb or Fried Shrimp Po’Boy. To Ryan’s delight they also serve fancy hot dogs—his favorite.

We sailed into town around lunchtime and went to my favorite spot in Glenwood Springs, Slope & Hatch. They serve tacos and hot dogs and this restaurant is tiny. As soon as walking in, grab a table because there are only a few.

For a great meal in Glenwood Springs, head over to Slope & Hatch. This restaurant serves up some of the best food in town, even though it’s super tiny. While the building is small, they have ample outdoor seating.

This small take-out spot dishes up international tacos and locally sourced frankfurters. The fish tacos were delectable and my scarfed down his dog.
